Also can we gtfo with the talk about how the Browns were in the game if (insert excuses on particular plays)? They gave up fucking 30 points and simply didn't make the plays that we speak of. That's what shitty teams do. The Browns were nowhere near being in the game.

One last thing, during our last two coach searches I sad we should hire Zimmer. Look how his program is working in Minnesota. Unfortunately haslam and company let their egos get in the way and they were butt hurt when Zimmer told them exactly why the Browns suck ass.

Johnny scored on that run, I have no idea what game the official was watching and Travis Bejamin needs to catch that fucking ball. No need for that, that's 14 points. He looked very good. No way he can go to josh on that Monday night game.
For sure. Manziel got very good reviews for a very good performance. That was solid NFL quality. It wasn't like he had any run support either. 15 yards on 14 carries from the running backs....Manziel got 17 himself. We've only seen Manziel 3 games, and he's improved each week. I'm not ready to annoint him the franchise, but Pettine better not go back to McCown....that's all I have to say.

I need to see more, but I am surprised at how down on Johnny people still are. He's still only 22, and his growth from last year to this is night and day. Heck, from that first start to his 3rd start this year he looks much better.

If he keeps looking improved I don't see why people are still so ready to cut bait with him. No one other than FW is booking super bowl tickets, but frankly I am starting to think that Johnny can play a little. He has a much better arm than I realized, and he has pretty good instincts out there. Given time to play through his growing pains he might actually be a guy you can win some games with if we can get a bright offensive mind in here who seeks to leverage what he does well out there.

No running game is usually the death of young QB's, and he is at least managing thus far. That is a good sign.

Hasn't basically everyone said he's looking better, played well all things considered, and they want to see him play more?

Like it our not the QB has not been the problem all season. McCown put up great numbers too. Yet McCown needed pulled for Johnny. It doesn't matter who plays QB the Browns are a complete mess.

Yep. QB isn't the issue. For the most part, the passing attack has looked decent all year. They can't run the ball, which is a huge head scratcher. The defense is an abortion. Not much to get excited about on that side of the ball, considering how much money they've spent on it.

The thing that pissed me off most yesterday was that they didn't even TRY to blitz TheRapist. Yes, he has a quick release and they probably weren't going to sack him much but at least get some hits on him. If they hit him right, they might reinjure that "bad" foot.

I agree with those that have said the offense hasn't been the problem this year. Defense and penalties are killing this team. I've never seen a team have so many penalties on field goal tries. It's ridiculous.

Based on DVOA, the browns have played the toughest schedule in the league so far. Just a random tidbit.

Rushing Yards - 756
Offensive Penalty Yards - 743
.

Let that one sink in for a minute. We essentially have as many rushing yards as penalty yards on offense this season.

Only Buffalo, with Pettine's mentor Rex, has more at 808.

If that doesn't scream coaching issue I don't know what does.

I think it's already been concluded that this coaching staff sucks ass. The talent "evaluating" crew is right there with them.

Unacceptable to happen to that degree and tossing with fine would've been appropriate, the minimum apology followed

You can tell how desperate this city is for a good QB. We get one pretty good performance from a QB in a 20 point blowout loss and we want to anoint him the starter of the future.

I hope manziel is the best QB that's ever lived, but I'm certainly not going to cream my pants over one performance. I do want to see more of him this season, for evaluation purposes, but the brakes need pumped on manziel after one game in which he actually resembled an NFL QB.

Agreed and most people have this mindset not named "Johnny Fanboys." He progressed from the Cincinnati game.

Assuming his starts (big assumption with Pettine) going forward, if he continues to improve, there might be something there....but WAY too early for people to be thinking it's a lock that he's the future. Hell, even old Timmy Tebow lit up the Steelers in a playoff game so almost anyone can have ONE good game.

I like watching Johnny play and hope he finishes out the season as the starter, but I think Josh McCown is a better QB but he isn't our future. We are 2-8 what difference does it make?

This to all arguments. Let Gilbert play too. Only way you are going to find out if they can progress or not. Erving needs a hell of a lot of play time too.

If Johnny is designated for the next head coach as a starter that coach will be fired also.

I was at the game yesterday, and I just want to say steelers fans are the worst. Most annoying people I've ever been around. That being said I'm very surprised at how kindly they treated me while I was there. Of course they gave some ribbing but it was nothing hostile. That being said what a pathetic fucking team. Between the penalties and the terrible secondary it was just an abortion. Johnny played very well made a lot of good reads from the pocket. Missed a few one was a big gain to Travis Benjamin but he had barnadge wide open for a TD. The coaching staff has got to go. They are awful. I wouldn't mind seeing Sean Peyton once he's fired or hue Jackson. Both would be major upgrades

The biggest ruse pulled off by Cueball this season is the constants bullshit that McClown gives the Brownbs the best chance to win. Kudos to Johnny for playing extremely well in the 2 road games exposing Cueball for being the fraud that he is.

Pettine has catered to the Cleveland media in not playing Manziel. Gutless swine. Thank the good Lord that McClown got hurt because the future Browns All Pro quarterback would have never seen the field.

It's going to be brutal to watch Manziel develop into a star quarterback for the clueless Johnny bashers...people like you.
