Just thought this thread was now an officiating discussion since all everyone does on here is bitch and moan about a few missed calls. Why not provide reality?

There's no argument to be had. Refs do a great job and yes sometimes they miss calls. What's your point? It's part of the game.like_that;1795807 wrote:ITT sleeper butthurt because he lost an argument.
IF you want everything called then game length will increase. If you want replays of everything, game length will increase. Not hard but I guess it's fun for you guys to bitch and moan about refs instead of the actual game.

Except your missing out on the fact the calls that the refs make that they shouldn't make (the bigger problem imo) and the players would adjust to the rules/way the officials call the games (just like they do in NFL). Keep making a case out of nothing though, because fans of a game are critical of the refs. As if this is new concept to you.sleeper;1795809 wrote:There's no argument to be had. I think they are doing a fine job. The NBA agrees. Yeah, basketball is the most subjective sport to make a judgement call on, officials try to draw a transparent line for the the players not to cross, so when something does occur, it is apparent to those who can see the call impartially and without prejudice. Because of physical ability and density of the players on the court, it will be the most criticized game we have in America.like_that;1795810 wrote:Except your missing out on the fact the calls that the refs make that they shouldn't make (the bigger problem imo) and the players would adjust to the rules/way the officials call the games (just like they do in NFL). Pacers hire McMillan. Decent coach, but is he who you hire to go anywhere better than "pretty good?"

Who could the pacers get that's better than McMillan?Azubuike24;1795937 wrote:Pacers hire McMillan. Decent coach, but is he who you hire to go anywhere better than "pretty good?"

I think Mark Jackson could have been a better hire. Hiring the assistant to me seems counterintuitive since Bird seemed to fire Vogel, because he didn't want more of the same.SportsAndLady;1795955 wrote:Who could the pacers get that's better than McMillan?

Agree with Mark Jackson but don't think he'd go to Indiana. Indiana is a team going nowhere. Jackson will wait for a better opening.like_that;1795957 wrote:I think Mark Jackson could have been a better hire. I don't think he was awful, but he completely blew game 5 against the Raptors when he sat PG while the raptors chipped away at their large lead (i believe it was around 20 pts).SportsAndLady;1795966 wrote:Vogel was awful lol
We could be talking about the Cavs playing the Pacers tomorrow for all we know if he didn't blow that game.

Vogel is not awful. He makes some glaring mistakes, but he isn't awful.
This hire is just terrible though. Hire somebody who hs never coached. I hate retread hires. Bird didn't like Vogel cause he wasn't a yes man, and Bird wants too much control.
Pacers are a PG away from being a formidable team in the East, if Turner keeps improving. Also depends on what position they plan on having PG13 play. Might need a wing as well if they move him to PF more.
Also agree with Like That, I think Pacers matched up great with Miami, and if not for Vogel allowing the Raptors back into it, Pacers are playing Cavs tomorrow.

Thompson best player on the court in the first half tonight.SportsAndLady;1795679 wrote:Disagree
There's been plenty of games this year where green or Thompson were the best players on the court (when curry was also playing).

That one was clutch for Durant.
I fully expect there to be a call on Currys next 3pt shot, which he will somehow make, and then drain the FT.
