Anyone willing to fund a PSA nationally that simply states:

"Respect, listen, and obey the police during police encounters. If you feel you are mistreated during the encounter, once free from police custody, then feel free to pursue legal action. Escalating the situation will never end in your favor. Yes sir, no ma'am, goes a long way."

It's not hard.

Yeah, now it seems like it's not "edgy" if you don't step up to the cop or get into a confrontation with them. They have a freakin' gun and a taser. What part of "fuck (or confront) with me and you're going to get hurt OR die" do they not understand. It's a lack of freaking respect. Anyone who steps up to a cop, whether he's a royal prick, or not, gets what they deserve.

I agree with yes sir and no sir and all that . However the cop in question was a PIG A tyrant and a criminal. Nothing ever goes good when you escalate the situation but the PIG made a false arrest then put her in jail and cost her to miss her first day on the job . not to mention all the legal bills and possible jail time . I hope the son of a bitch PIG loses his fucking job but he wont. Never ever ever back talk the cops I agree with all that . Most cops are good but that man was a tyrant PIG.

Yes . it's called bad karma. He helped with that end. He should not be able to sleep at night . Remember it was a false arrest . this isn't that piece of shit Michael brown we are talking about . this was a decent human being by all accounts I have seen and they are dragging her through the mud even though she is dead.

How about if it was your woman / Cop is a Nazi Pig who had no right to put his hands on her or tell her to put out the cigaret . hey guys who am I: "that cop was a PIG you cant do anythuin/ right wih pigs because pig they are PIGS. I support being nice to cops but now then they are pig nazis and if you agree you love cops and pigs.. michel brown was a thug but at least he wasnt a PIG also i support rapists"

The article is extremely similar to how I approach dealing with police. The last time I had an interaction I was pretty drunk but was able to get out without getting arrested or getting a citation just because I responded with "Yes sir, no sir" and also apologized.

Tucker does throw in a caveat for being black at the end of the article, but I think that's just the perception. Black people tend to let their pride come on too strong and in those situations it's best to just bend over and take it because you can't win. It's the way the system is set up; it's not worth it to fight a cop ever.

Im no cop lover by a long shot ( had a number of encounters with the turds in blue) but unfortunately Sleeper is absolutely correct on this one (God in pains me to write that...) when confronted by any cop it is recommended to look them in the eye and ONLY answer questions you are asked...DO NOT under any circumstance offer opinions, suggestions, ask them questions or complain about the situation you are now in. Its OK to throw in the "Yes Sir / No Sir" BS if you want but its not necessary. If they make a decision to take you in GO Peacefully and call your attorney when you get to the station.
