Cavs might be in for a rude awakening if they have to face Washington in the first round. Would be a series that could be much tougher than it needs to be.

I 100% agree with this however it doesn't take away from my question. They are separate issues/discussions.rrfan;1783743 wrote:who cares about the final spot? Honestly, if these guys can't get this together shame on all of them. The King doesn't play a game and everyone else puts forth no effort? What a joke this team does not have the heart of a champion.
Cavs won't win the title until our highly overpaid team can win a game without being carried by Lebron. I think we will see some major shaking up of the roster in the off season if the Cavs don't win the title and right now, there's not a snowballs chance in hell we beat GS in the Finals, and questionable if we even make the finals the way we are playing.
I think moving Kyrie is a very real possibility because he has the most reasonable contract of the bunch, is definitely all star caliber, and straight up doesn't work well with the current team.

Yeah I don't have any confidence anymore that we can win the East in the playoffs. Teams got better and the Cavs have gone through the motions for a majority of the season.Azubuike24;1783748 wrote:Cavs might be in for a rude awakening if they have to face Washington in the first round. Pretty sad since we blew our wad of cash and assets on a team that's very good on paper but actually still hasn't meshed well with each other. It's not my money, but as a fan, that money tied up makes us very inflexible for the next few years to get significant roster improvements similar to how we were during Lebron's first stint in Cleveland.

Agreed. Kyrie would be the one I'd like to see them move if this were to happen.sleeper;1783749 wrote:I 100% agree with this however it doesn't take away from my question. They are separate issues/discussions.

They aren't winning a ring this year, imo.
From what I've seen, are they really better off with Lue than they were with Blatt? Lue has them playing at a faster pace and has gotten a little more out of Kevin Love but their defense seems to have gotten worse and poor defense doesn't usually win rings.

Lue sucks but I'm not sure Blatt was much better.BR1986FB;1783757 wrote:Agreed. Kyrie would be the one I'd like to see them move if this were to happen.

A space cow could coach this team to their current record. The Cavs out talent 90% of the NBA and can win almost any game against that 90%. It's the 10% of teams that they need a solid coach to scheme and outplay, but neither Lue or Blatt has that ability. Lue was a bad hire in my opinion.

If they fire Lue, who do they get? Not a lot of options out there.

Lol, well I have doubts whether the Wiz will actually play consistently enough to even make the playoffs. Still, there's a perception that the Cavs will just sweep the East into the NBA Finals.like_that;1783766 wrote:Hot take azu is hot take azu.

Cavs need to dig deep and look at the mirror. Some of these losses simply came down to piss poor effort. Really inexcusable to go from spanking the thunder one week ago to getting their ass kicked the following week to a borderline playoff team.

Honestly KI needs to play better. Both def (he's horrible) and offensively. KI starts playing better, all if well.like_that;1783782 wrote:Cavs need to dig deep and look at the mirror. Happened twice this week. Pistons and Wizards. Both double digit losses.like_that;1783782 wrote:Really inexcusable to go from spanking the thunder one week ago to getting their ass kicked the following week to a borderline playoff team.

Rumors are that Kyrie is unhappy and wants to play elsewhere. Fire up the Paul for Irving rumor mill.

Look out if they lose this one at home tonight to the Pistons. Don't play again until Friday, lot of time for the rumor mill and media to run with their theories.

Why does this shit always happen in Cleveland? Can't we just have a good team with good locker room players too? God damn

Can almost guarantee he'll deny it publicly but the media will go nuts with this crap and everyone will have their "sources" and once again...giant headache/distraction rest of the year.
Plus, what could possibly happen right now if he wants out of Cleveland? It'd have to be this summer right?

Just don't understand why kyrie would be cool playing in Cleveland when they sucked, but now that he is on a championship contending team, NOW he wants out?

It's because any Lebron team is going to bring media drama no matter what. Comes with the territory.SportsAndLady;1783883 wrote:Just don't understand why kyrie would be cool playing in Cleveland when they sucked, but now that he is on a championship contending team, NOW he wants out?
When Andy signed with GSW, windhorst was on TV talking about how fans in Cleveland will be extremely devastated and worried about the move. They can't help themselves but be the TMZ of sports.

I really don't know what Kyrie is but it sure as Hell isn't a point guard. He's not a facilitator. If they want that kind of guy to dish assists to Love & Lebron, Kyrie is not that guy. A lot of people spew the hate at Love but if they had a true point guard/facilitator, I bet Love would have better results here. I also think LBJ would be good for another (easy) 6-8 points just by getting fed slashing to the hoop. Passing is not Kyrie's game, imo. I also don't think they are winning a ring, as constructed, with this Big 3 and I don't necessarily think Love is the problem.SportsAndLady;1783883 wrote:Just don't understand why kyrie would be cool playing in Cleveland when they sucked, but now that he is on a championship contending team, NOW he wants out?
