I really don't get this unless it's to safeguard from someone getting injured.sleeper;1783308 wrote:JJ will be a Cav. That is the chatter.

He's a good defender. We have no legit starting wing, next to LeBron. Shump, jr, mo, delly are all better off the bench.
A lineup of Kyrie, Joe, Lebron, love, and TT to finish a game? Yes please.

I don't get it because he is likely going to cut into Shump (their best defender) or JR's (one of their hottest players) minutes.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1783376 wrote:Why don't you get it?

He's also known as "Iso Joe", which Lue is trying to get away from. Good player, but don't get the fit for what they are trying to do unless, as I said, it's to safeguard against injury. Would've loved to have him last year, as an insurance policy, in the Finals, but I don't see how Lue is going to juggle minutes.

I don't see how anybody can't like the idea of JJ coming off the bench and playing against the 2s.

You really think he's just gonna go ISO like he is on the Nets?BR1986FB;1783378 wrote:I don't get it because he is likely going to cut into Shump (their best defender) or JR's (one of their hottest players) minutes.

Lebron would kick his ass off the team before his ass hit the bench.
They'll find a way To make him "fit" and it won't be Joe Johnson going ISO over Lebron and kyrie lol

He'd cut into Jr's minutes because hes JR except he can defend and drive. He's "iso joe" because hes on terrible teams and he has to be.

We have two roster spots and we will get him for less than $1M a year. He provides some scoring off the bench and can hit 3 point shots at a greater clip than almost anyone on the team.BR1986FB;1783373 wrote:I really don't get this unless it's to safeguard from someone getting injured.
I think he's worth $1M.

He would likely take some minutes away from Shump/Delly/Smith/RJ/ LBJ. All of which should be playing fewer minutes to stay healthy/fresh as is, especially LBJ. 3-4 minutes from all of them would give him 15-20 a night which would be perfect.BR1986FB;1783378 wrote:I don't get it because he is likely going to cut into Shump (their best defender) or JR's (one of their hottest players) minutes.

I get that part. Just trying to figure out how Lue's going to dish out minutes and keep everyone happy.sleeper;1783391 wrote:We have two roster spots and we will get him for less than $1M a year. Lebron will get less minutes. I know we need Lebron but I'd rather have him rest more during the regular season and take a few games off while still giving the Cavs a good chance to win.BR1986FB;1783400 wrote:I get that part. Love is supposed to be doing that but without LBJ, Love is straight garbage.

Lol what? Delly has been awesome this year. As for joe Johnson, you obviously haven't watched him play this year. He has looked to pass to Lopez and others instead of being an ISO player. He's not the same joe Johnson of the past he's more of a spot up shooter/facilitator than an ISO player. And the big thing with jj is we match up so much better with him against GS.slingshot4ever;1783408 wrote:delly shouldn't be playing at all...

Twitter sources say Heat the frontrunner for Joe Johnson but as we've seen, you never lock it in until contracts are signed.

Also, if he signs with the Heat it's obvious he doesn't want to play for a championship caliber team.

If he goes to the heat oh well fuck him guess he wants to get knocked out of the playoffs early. We're still going to roll the east whether JJ comes here or not

Not sure why the Heat would sign him. That would put them back in the repeater tax which they tried successfully to get out of in the trade deadline.

Was thinking that as well. Especially considering they want to make a run at Durant next year.Commander of Awesome;1783445 wrote:Not sure why the Heat would sign him. That would put them back in the repeater tax which they tried successfully to get out of in the trade deadline.

What would the point of JJ be for the Heat? They weren't a contender to begin with, and now especially without Bosh. I'd try to improve my draft stock if I were them (not that I really think JJ will add many/any wins to the team)

Miami it is, according to The Vertical. Which is Woj's new site on Yahoo.

Only thing I can think of is he wants a more prominent roll, which he wouldn't have gotten with us.
Anyways..should be a fun one tonight. Raptors seem to give us trouble at there place lately...especially Lowry.
