I'm aware. Re-read my statement. I said there is no option after 4 years; implying the 5th year is already a given.

I also get what he is saying. If Lebron doesn't win a championship with this roster, it will severely damage his standing in NBA history. This is by far the best roster in the league and certainly the best roster he's ever had.

With that said, you can pretty much pencil the Cavs into the NBA finals and I don't think any team in the West can beat them in a 7 game series either.

You keep harping about his buddies, but really, TT and to an extent JJ are the only real "buddies" on this team. It'd be different if they were stuck with a bunch of scrubs (Donyelle Marshall, Damon Jones, Ben Gordon, Larry Hughes, Jamison, etc.) Fact of the matter is they have 3 of the top 20-25 players in the league, with a solid group of role players mixed in.

To have that kind of talent you're gonna have to pay the players. I'm not an indians fan, but as someone mentioned above, you guys have dealt with an owner who'd rather create stars, then deal them off for more lottery tickets, instead of just paying them. To have an owner willingly spend cash, regardless on if the Cavs win the title or not, is refreshing.
If TT didn't have the same agent as Lebron, you can bet his deal would be substantially less.

And sure, it's not our money, it's DG's money but overpaying played can really hurt you if they don't perform and can handicap your ability to upgrade the roster. DG essentially is going all in during Lebron's last few "prime" years and as a fan I am happy.

No, it's not. If they don't win a title, with this roster, people WILL be pissed. A championship isn't a "luxury"....at this point, it's an expectation. Anything else, with what Gilbert has done, is a miserable failure.

Again, spot on. I'm pleased that Gilbert has the "whatever it takes" mentality. The "overpaying" comment you made was part of the point I was trying to make. Now the players need to back it up. NO excuses.

There are potential negative ramifications when the owner grossly ver pays for one player. It's simple human nature. JR Smith cannot be happy that someone at his station in ability is getting paid almost 3 times as much. Even AV has to be a little pissed.

Tristan Tbompson is worth about 7.5 million a year...that's about it.

I know the numbers are difficult to comprehend for you, but young clowns can't do math in their head. And if you want to make a large wager on this...let's go. Thompson will be lucky to play 20 minutes per game if Andy stays healthy. Say what you want, but a healthy Andy is > TT.

Gkilbert grossly over paid for TT...not that it matters. He'll just bump the HARP Quicken Loans rate a point or 2. LOL. Either taht. or he'll bump the rake at the casino.

TT salary this year 14,000,000 rounded.

If LBJ plays slightly more minutes (2500) this year, than he did last he would roughly make 9200 per minute.
If, TT plays slightly less minutes this year(2000), than he did last he would roughly make 7000 per minute.
If, TT plays 20 minutes per game this year (1600) he would roughly make 8750 per minute.

Now I'm no mathematician, but, neither of those numbers are More than the 9200, let alone 50% more.

In fact, the only way that TT would reach 50% more per minute than LeBron(13800) is if he plays 12 minutes a game.
I wonder if FW will ever acknowledge his mathematical disability

When Varejao strings together a couple of seasons where he isn't out by January, then he can worry about more money.

Assuming and hoping LeBron is healthy all season....would you prefer he was rested regularly throughout most games or rested regularly at certain points of each game AND sit out 5-8 games just simply for rest?

Yes, I would prefer that every player was rested for 1-2 weeks through out the year, starting after the all star break

5 into 82 is 14? You're an idiot. Secondly. LeBron's minutes were wayyyy below normal because he was out for 2 weeks. He rarely missed a game in any other season. Like I said above. TT will make at least 50% more per minute than LBJ provided Love, Mosgov and Andy stay healthy.

LBJ.... 38 mins/game 82 games...22.4 million... $7188 per minute.

TT 15 minutes per game if he's lucky. (Love gets 36 mins, Mosgov gets 25 mins, Andy gets 20 mins, TT gets 15) TT makes $13000 plus per minute. !3,000. Now...youwant to crunch numbers with me ever again?

TT is only making 14m this year. 0 chance LBJ plays 38 minutes a game, or 82 games. I'd bet your yearly salary on neither of those happening, let alone both. LBJ is going in to the season already banged up. Guaranteed he misses 8-12 games this year, and will play less than 34 minutes a game. But, hey, this is your story, tell it how you want.

Put your money where your mouth is, sleuth. TT will make better than 1.5 dollars per minute over LBJ this year provided Love, Andy, and Mosgov stay healthy. And BTW, LBJ will log 38 mins per game. Don't believe all the bull shit you read.

That would put LeBron at 3116 minutes for the season. He hasn't played that many minutes in a season since 2007. I'll take your bet, but not with the million conditions and excuses that you are building into it. LeBron's salary is $22,970,500, and TT's salary is $14,260,870. Your only chance of winning this bet is if TT gets hurt, but I will take that chance.

LBJ hasn't played 38 minutes a game since 2011, but he's suddenly gonna start doing it 5 years later.
