And if Jerry Rice had been caught red handed in doing so, he should have been forced to sit out a year as well.

I take it you don't want to wager on this.

You stated a full year, which is nothing less than 16 games missed. Those are my terms.

Whether or not it affected the outcome of the AFC Championship game is not relevant, and it won't change the outcome of last year's playoffs/Superbowl. In much the same way, if a player in baseball is caught after the fact to have used a corked bat or applied a foreign substance to the ball, the penalty is levied at a future time. Basically, altering the legal equipment of the game is cheating, and comparatively the penalty for a corked bat in baseball is an 8 game suspension...or about 1/20 of the season. Brady should get no more than 1 game.

Go pound salt clown. 8 games or more. But given the fact that Ray Rice got a whopping 2 games for beating the crap out of his wife, who knows what the NFL will dole out.

It's not the same as corking a bat. 1 player = 1/9th of your offense. A quarterback has the advantage on every play...big difference. If you want to compose a baseball analogy then use the juiced baseballs argument. whereby all 9 hitters have a huge edge. Brady should get nailed for this. If not, then the NFL will get yet another black eye for how they've handled things over the past year.

And BTW. it was reported nationally that Brady is looking at a 1 year suspension.

It's actually not close to as bad as a corked bat. It's more like breaking your baseball glove in to your liking.

LOL....Okay, I'll humor you. You have a QB using a doctored football. In baseball a pitcher 'doctoring' a baseball gets a ten game suspension...1/16 of the season...again, 1 game in football. A pitcher throws a ball more than a QB.

Don't think it should be more than 4, isn't that the leagues 1st time penalty for PED's? Why should this be anymore?

It's unfortunate, but I have this feeling the NFL will send a message AND rule completely inaccurately, giving Brady at least half a season of suspension.

I totally agree. It's not worthy of that. MAYBE 4 games. That seems fair, given other punishments. However, it could be squashed or heightened on the fact that it's Tom Brady, it's not the Patriots, but they are the reigning Super Bowl champs. This shouldn't matter, as any player doing the same should get a similar punishment, but we've seen that before.

The league punishment will be interesting, but there will be an appeal especially if it is anything close to what some people are crying for.

I can agree with this, that is the closest analogy you can get in another sport.

Does Aaron Rodgers get suspended too? He openly admitted that he likes the ball with more air in it.

Footwedge if you really think he gets suspended for the season you can make a lot of money. Odds are at +1000 or 10/1.

Personally I don't think he gets anything but if he does it won't be more than 4 games.

Let me just say that Albert Belle and Sammy Sosa should have been pined for a minimum of 3 months for cheating. I have a really low tolerance for cheaters...always have always will. Not everyone feels the same way as I do. The truth is...I'm a very competitive person and I want to win...really bad...whenever I compete. But I would get absolutely no satisfaction in winning...if I cheated to beat you.

But to answer your post here. Baseball has a long history of tolerating cheating. It's a culture tht is part of the game. Gaylor used to go through all those gyrations just to make the hitter "think" he was loading pitches.

Back mto Brady. That man had no reason to cheat, but he did it anyway. He is a great HOF quarterback...and a POS. lowlife slime ballat the same time.

The NFL and it's comical commish, need to send the correct message and suspend him for the season. Although I am in the minority here, our thinking is that we are sick and tired of the integrity of sporting events being compromised. Really sick of it.

Now I'm not saying that I'm holier than thou...far from it. But for God sake, keep sports clean.

8 games or more Turtles...it's the best odds you'll ever get on a wager...given your propensity for betting on teasers...the worst thing you can ever do.

Lol I wasn't trying to bet with you myself. I am literally telling you that you can go on bovada right now and bet that he will be suspended for the season. You seem to be so confident that it will happen I was trying to help you make some money.

Reminds me of when Tiernan said the Steelers would beat the Browns by 30 week one last season. But when we tried to get him to wager on it, he'd only do what the line was plus a touchdown lol.
