If they trade down I want Iupati at RG if they don't go after Rob Sims.

On another note, the Boy's released safety Ken Hamlin (former Holmgren player) and 5 time Pro Bowl offensive tackle, Flozell Adams today.

We have improved our roster across the board while giving up very little.

Great offseason.
I think they have improved the roster, but not sure about the starting qb spot...we will see.
An untrained monkey is better than what we had at QB last year.
Yeah, but Delhomme played like a semi retarded untrained monkey last year.
Still more intelligence than what I saw last year.

Yes...well, I think playing the odds on Delhomme being better than last season is a safe bet.

Yeah, I don't see 18 INT's again this year. I'll make a prediction on his numbers once I see all of the weapons in place.

How likely could this happen: If Berry is no longer available at #7, trade back with a team later in the 1st to get Earl Thomas and then be able to get Iupati? Would that be a pretty good 1st round or what? Then after that trade our 2nd and another pick or 2 to get back into the early part of the 2nd round or late first to get McCoy or whatever QB Holmgen and Co. want to get. I know this is highly unlikely, but I could see this happening with Thomas and McCoy because I think CLE will eventually sign Rob Simms (which would make it not totally necessary to draft Iupati) and Berry will be gone by the 7th pick. And I could see the Browns trading back into things to get McCoy.

The additions CLE picked up today was really good and I have to wonder what the Eagles were thinking...yes, they do have 10 picks in the draft now, but they only got Max Hall, who hasn't really been all that productive. Maybe they are interested in getting a younger CB who has some talent and potential.

From what I understand, the Philly take on this is that they really didn't get fleeced. Some of their fans are justifying it as a Brown for a 4th & a 5th. They are saying Hall for Gocong is a wash, that Gocong is no better than Hall. They are aso saying getting rid of Brown was a "win, win" because he wanted paid and they weren't going to do it.

I don't but the Gocong is no better than Hall thing...How would they ever know that? Most of Hall's tackles have come sparingly on Defense and mostly on special teams. And I will gladly take Brown from Philly and pay him what the Eagles wouldn't bc he is a lot better upgrade to what CLE had in Brandon McDonald. Brown will bring his physicality to the defensive backfield. What is Philly going to do to replace him? The draft?

I just think Philly trading Brown opens up the McNabb to Oakland trade.

From what I have heard, Philadelphia's been creaming their pants over Haden, and I wouldn't be surprised with them being a little more desperate in trying to get him now that Brown's gone and trying to strike a deal with the Browns again.

I would have loved to swap picks with Philly if they traded McNabb to us....is it to late to undo the Delhomme deal...lol

I still think that is a little too steep for McNabb.
I would have LOVED to see McNabb in Cleveland. My only problem with McNabb is I don't see him being very good a grooming a future QB.

My predictions for the draft

1st Round - Trade down for an extra pick in the 2nd. Grab a S with the new pick (Thomas or Mays), if not them, an OT or G.
2nd Round - 1st pick : QB 2nd pick : DE/LB
3rd Round - OT/G or RB

At 24...you are probably right. If philly was more towards the late teens, that would have been better.

McNabb probably isn't the best qb for grooming a future qb, but I think he would have the skills to make them competitive now. Not saying they make the playoffs, but they would be a hell of a lot easier to watch.

I wouldn't rule out Haden as the pick if Berry is gone. The nice thing about the acquisition of Brown is that he can slide over to safety, if needed.

I think that Alex Hall was part of that deal because guess who is a scout for the Iggles?

With this deal, I would be surprised if they take Haden now.

If Berry is still there that is different I would imagine, but the Haden ship has probably sailed with this deal and that is a shame because Haden is going to be a very good pro.

I do not want Taylor Mays mentioned on this thread ever again.

Thank you and have a great Easter weekend.
