Phily fans are pretty pissed at this trade.

They should be. They should be pissed at the whole off season that Philly is having. Throwing your franchise qb on the trading blocks and unloading Brown because he wants paid.....more of a city of Cleveland type of offseason..BR1986FB wrote: Phily fans are pretty pissed at this trade.

Nice trade picking up potential starting CB and LB which could make draft day very interesting.

Some of you folks are putting a lot of hope in the Browns being able to find a partner and trading down, if Berry is gone.
In the history of the draft, finding a willing partner who will trade down AND give you an acceptable deal is pretty hard to do.
That's why I say that I don't believe Haden is off the board even with this trade. I think this strengthens the Browns by allowing them to pretty much do anything they want and not feel they have a pressing need to reach for a player, or take a bad deal in trading down.

The best part is that Sabrina's boyfriend (B-Mac) will now be riding the pine where he belongs. I expect Gocong to be a Matt Roth type of player.

Clean too. Lead with the shoulder (not with the helmet) and had old Reggie crawling on the ground like a baby.charliehustle14 wrote:What an amazing hit, one of my favorites.BR1986FB wrote: "My apologies, Mr Kardashian....."

Reggie was screwed when he took that extra hop after catching the ball, right before Brown nailed him. He was already going to get nailed...but he ended up being nailed while being in the air, which is a nightmare for anyone.

This team has almost improved at every position this offseason.
Delhomme > Anderson
Wallace > Quinn
Hillis > Lewis
Gocong and Brown > Hall and Wimbley
Brown >BMac
Pathos > St. Clair
We have improved our roster across the board while giving up very little.
Great offseason.

I agree that they have upgraded with veteran stopgaps/leaders until they can get an infusion of youth.

^^I expect teams to try and do more of this heading into nxt season.
I could see agents approaching teams about this as well......get their clients more guarenteed money up front, without more money out the door, and possibly helping if the cap comes back.
I look for a number of big names to get some restructured deals to front load guarenteed bucks.

Interesting to hear that Gocong could be used as the starting ILB instead of outside. Pretty interesting the shape we're in with our LB's:
Gocong
Fujita
DQ Jackson
Trusnick
Roth
Maiava
Barton
Bowens
Veikune
and I'm sure I'm missing some....

I think they have improved the roster, but not sure about the starting qb spot...we will see.pkebker wrote: This team has almost improved at every position this offseason.

An untrained monkey is better than what we had at QB last year.wes_mantooth wrote:I think they have improved the roster, but not sure about the starting qb spot...we will see.pkebker wrote: This team has almost improved at every position this offseason.

Exactly, do you really find it a need to get Haden because now we have two good CB's to start?BR1986FB wrote: With these additions, draft day should be VERY interesting/exciting.....
Do you really think its a need of getting an LB early as we picked up Fujita and Gocong?
If Berry isn't available at #7, do you trade down to get more picks?

From a fan view point, Cleveland fans would say hell yes while the Eagles fans will not want to do with Heckert and Co. again after the deal we just received.BR1986FB wrote:With all of the talks with Philly, do we do business with them again on draft day?devil1197 wrote: If Berry isn't available at #7, do you trade down to get more picks?
I think Cleveland should honestly look into trading down once again and trying to pick up a late 1st rounder. There will be some good S and DL prospects in the late 1st and you could possibly grab McCoy if Holmgren really likes him.
But unless Berry is available at #7, I say try to trade down.

Yeah, but Delhomme played like a semi retarded untrained monkey last year.BR1986FB wrote:An untrained monkey is better than what we had at QB last year.wes_mantooth wrote:I think they have improved the roster, but not sure about the starting qb spot...we will see.pkebker wrote: This team has almost improved at every position this offseason.
