The schools should already have that information.se-alum;1694099 wrote:I mean as far a who qualifies as a parent/guardian, and how many can be claimed by each athlete.

That'd be easier for everyone involved. But we all know the last thing the NCAA does is make things convenient.se-alum;1694101 wrote:Saw that Smith is pushing to have the parent stuff all rolled into the team charter and hotel in the future, so no money ever actually changes hands.

Not so sure having the families around the players is the best thing for focus.se-alum;1694101 wrote:Saw that Smith is pushing to have the parent stuff all rolled into the team charter and hotel in the future, so no money ever actually changes hands.
GOing forward the NCAA should book/block rooms for the families like they do for other groups and go from there.

Tickets are about $50 cheaper on oregons side of the field.
Contemplating shelling out the extra dough to sit on Ohio states side. Smart or not smart?

Personally, I wouldn't want to be stuck in the Oregon section during a game of this magnitude just to save $50. I'm sure there will be other OSU fans in that section, but it won't be the same as the OSU section.SportsAndLady;1694269 wrote:Tickets are about $50 cheaper on oregons side of the field.

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking. Going with my gfs parents and he keeps bringing up the Oregon tickets and I know what he's saying, let's just get in at the cheapest price, but if im gonna spend $800, I'll spend $900 to sit in an environment where I can celebrate with osu fans around me rather then feel like the entire section is giving me the death stare for cheering an osu TD.se-alum;1694270 wrote:Personally, I wouldn't want to be stuck in the Oregon section during a game of this magnitude just to save $50. Jim Tressel is going into the college football hall of fame and will be at the game as part of the coin toss ceremony. It will be insane when he goes out there.

Felt good about the Alabama game.
Originally felt good about this one as well.
More and more I think of it I just believe Jones is gonna lay a man sized egg in this one. He just played over his head in the first two.

Not really. His defense, O-line, and Zeke allowed him to do what he did. It'll be the same this game. Nothing will be too tough for him. MOO.thavoice;1694453 wrote:He just played over his head in the first two.

You have to wonder if some of these analysts even watch these games that they talk about. Brian Griese talking about how Oregon's defense dominated FSU!?! FSU put up 528 yards, and that was with all the turnovers. FSU was taking chunk yardage when they started turning the ball over. They were well on their way to 600+.

Oregon isn't going to be able to move the ball against Ohio State. Oregon hasn't played a team all year that has the sheer NFL talent on defense that Ohio State has. Defensively, Oregon has some big problems like stopping the run against a player like Jones/EZE because these players don't exist in the Pac-12.se-alum;1694493 wrote:You have to wonder if some of these analysts even watch these games that they talk about. Again, I expect a substantial blow out of Oregon; a complete destruction of their fraudulent Heisman trophy winner and an embarrassment to Pac-12 "football". This Ohio State team is scary good and if a team like Alabama had to get lucky to only lose by 7, then Oregon is in for some punishment.

but yeah..I know what you are saying. Each year I watch and listen to less and less of the pregame and hype that precedes the big games. There are only so many ways to truly break down a game before it is played. I dont know if they think they are coming up with something groundbreaking or not, but it got real old for me.
It is only HS football, but my favorite pre game BS session came from none other than that tool JJ himself. He talked in pregame of our of my HS finals appearances that he believe a little known player, such as _______(and he named the kid) will be a big factor in the game.
That kid hadnt played in like 10+ weeks due to injury and wasnt even dressing!
but I digress.
Will OSU be able to keep up with Oregon's fast break offense? I think they should press the coverage a little bit more than what I have seen some teams do. Oregon loves those short passes, bubble screens, jailbreaks, whatevers, as extended run plays. Make them beat ya over the top. This week OSU has had to balance rest with getting the guys acclimated to the uptempo.

I can't wait for Tuesday morning. Then we can start thinking about next year and defending the title. I'd love to play another SEC team round 1 and round 2 for the sheer joy of beating the shit out of vastly overrated teams.

Ducks win and you ban yourself for a week.
Bucks win and you ban yourself for 2 weeks?
Kidding of course.
Cannot wait for this game even though I am not truly a CFB/OSU fan. Ran into 4-5 people today who are going to the game. One is a former player I coached in baseball who works for a company that put him in a suite for this game!
Jones only has two starts under his belt, and my only worry is this is his flop game. If JT was QB, I would be all over OSU winning.

Cannot believe Jimmy The Liar is being inducted into the CFB HOF. Guess that shows the hypocrisy of CFB at its best...be a complete lying, hypocrital POS and get rewarded for it. Damn shame.

This is well stated. I have no idea why Oregon is favored in this game at all if one looks at yardage gained and allowed over the past 2 games. Ohio State outgained Wisky by about 300 yards and outgained Bama by 120...with 80 of those yards by Bama coming in what was close to garbage time. For the first 56 minutes or so when the game was on the line, Ohio State held a 230 yardage edge over Alabama.se-alum;1694493 wrote:You have to wonder if some of these analysts even watch these games that they talk about. Ohio State will lose if they turn the ball over more than Oregon...Otherwise, the stronger team will win...that being Ohio State.

Boom, exactly my thoughts. I'm not sure Oregon has played anyone has strong, fast and physical as Ohio State.se-alum;1692107 wrote:I think OSU's rare mix of speed and physicality will be tough for Oregon.
I wouldn't be too worried about the Buckeyes scoring at minimum 35. This offense has a ton of weapons and even paltry FSU put up 20 on Oregon.centralbucksfan;1692103 wrote:I'm not. Their offense and the pace they play is just unreal. The pressure they put not only on the defense, but the other teams offense to keep up, is just unbelievable. Our offense is going to have to score 35+ in this game and NOT turn the ball over for OSU to win this game. I am confident they can. The defense has to make Oregon work for whatever they get. They have to limit their big plays and not let them score so easily. Going to be a fun game! Over/under is 70!!
