Oregon favored by 7.

That means OSU wins by 17

OSU will win by 3 TDs. Oregon's offense hasn't played a defense with a front 7 as good as OSU's in the past 10 years. Cardale Jones is the best player in college football and Mariota will learn a thing or two from him.

And to any of your mother fuckers that say "Oh Oregon has such a high octane offense, how is OSU going to keep up?!?!?". Same thing was said for the 2010 Rose Bowl and look how that turned out. OSU's defense is a lot better than 2010 as well.

I'm not. Their offense and the pace they play is just unreal. The pressure they put not only on the defense, but the other teams offense to keep up, is just unbelievable. Our offense is going to have to score 35+ in this game and NOT turn the ball over for OSU to win this game. I am confident they can. The defense has to make Oregon work for whatever they get. They have to limit their big plays and not let them score so easily. Going to be a fun game! Over/under is 70!!

At this point, the Bucks seem a lot like a team of destiny, much like the team that beat Miami in 2003.

our offense can put up 50 easily every game against any team in the country. Oregon will have to figure out how to stop our front 7

I think OSU's rare mix of speed and physicality will be tough for Oregon.

I am guessing this game will have more scoring than some hoops games taht weekend.

Have to question past National Champions and if they truly were the best. This year FSU and Ala would have been in the NC game next week, and now with aplayoff that shows how wrong it woulda been.

Very subjective. Matchups, who is playing well at any given time. Do you look at who is playing best at seasons end, or take into consideration the entire season? Many teams get better, some more than others. Seriously, who woulda thought OSU after the VT game? Not me. Similar to basketball. The best team doesn't always win a national title. So many variables and timing.

I came away last night thinking our 3rd down conversions played a huge part in winning. I think in these big games, the momentum, mistakes, and impact plays win a game. With these 2 teams it's a coin toss and unpredictable of which team makes those plays.

3rd down played huge in the game vs Bama. And what was amazing, was the stat that Bama avg 3rd down was like 3.5yrds to go, and OSU was over 7. Yet we converted 10 of 18 to Bama being like 3 of 14 (or something close). Jones made some great throws on 3rd down. But other than OSU turnovers early, and not scoring inside the 5..no question 3rd down played huge.

True, but in CFB with the limited schedule it is difficult to really have a great grasp and when they just try to narrow it to two teams like in the BCS area, and before that when it was an even bigger joke, it is difficult to know legit who is at the top. Little common opponants to really compare.

Was awesome watching those two games yesterday knowing they meant something. The BCS was great for getting an actual NC game, but the new years day games really didnt mean a whole lot.

BCS champs were just as BS as the AP for many years. The BCS computers never took the human component out of it.

I put BCS above the AP champs because it at least put 2 of the top teams together for a winner take all game.

We will be able to run all over them and hit long balls off of that, I expect us to win by around 10. This is a better match up than Bama was for us.

By that logic the playoff is bigger bullshit because it's solely a human component

Better matchup? How so? No way, no how. I wanted Bama in the first game. Not Oregon. Even though knowing we would have to play them if we won. Not sure anyone is a good matchup for Oregon. Their offense is legit, as in the QB. He rarely turns it over. Bama was a good match up for OSU and that was obvious now. Oregon...as I said, I don't think many match up well with the. You have to keep pace with them, not turn it over to give them more possessions and you have to score and your offense has to score as well. Our defense is going to have to play very well, make them work and hopefully create a turnover or two.

We are better in the trenches than they are and we are just as fast as a whole. Our defense is fast and is solid when it comes to tackling, Oregon struggles when it plays a solid defense that can out physical them and that tackles well in open space, they always have. Every time they have played a good solid D over the last few years they have struggled or lost. They blow bad teams out and look like world beaters but solid fundamental football beats them and it has been proven over the last 5 years or so.

The front 7 at Ohio State will absolutely wreck this powder puff gimmick offense.

2014 Oregon is not 2010 Oregon.

Mariota > Masoli and it's not even close.
