Since 1998(the first BCS year), all but 2 Champions(Tennessee and Auburn) have been Nike.
Not surprising with the sheer number of Nike schools versus Adidas and Under Armor.

Yeah. WOuld like to know what % have nike. Also, they know whom to go after. Nike will do their best to get the biggest names possible, as does UA I presume. UA was second to nike in the NFL bids a few years ago.

I noticed more players wearing the looser under shirts, like the pro combat loose fit, for nike this season.
I got one of them for Christmas and hate it. It is supposed to wick the sweat away like the UA product but man it jus plain sucks.

But if they ever have a black jersey I will flip the fuck out!!!
Funny you mention that...I have heard of a prototype for an all black uniform.

These aren't "uniforms", they're costumes - much like those worn on Halloween. I know, I know - the high school recruits think they're cool. But the costume arms race has now resulted in a team playing for the national championship without wearing its school colors.

From talking to players at Ohio State, they guaranteed we would never see OSU wear a black jersey.

I guarantee you Oregon will not accept the trophy if they win it b/c of their uniforms. For shame.

Agreed. Players will wear whatever Nike tells them to wear.

It's not the players. Nike designs uniforms but can't force schools to wear a particular one. Sorry, but we will never see a black uniform at Ohio State and you can take that to the bank.

Yeah, I'm sure the school has somewhat of a say regarding if they will or will not wear a specific uni.

Regardless, black isn't our color. I see it every year, some dumbass will MS Paint a half-assed black OSU jersey and it pisses me off. Black is not our color, accent only. A black OSU jersey is a horrible horrible idea.

I agreed. I doubt they will ever see black, but it wont be because of the players say so.

OSU doesnt need to be sellout or a shill to nike or any other entity. They are way, way beyond that. Oregon.....they made their name by wearing crazy uniforms. Although they have been good in recent memory, it is still the crazy uniforms that most people identify them with.

Or maybe the coaches have stated to the players that it will never happen? The players then relayed this to sleeper.

Or maybe sleeper is completely full of shit?

Time will tell.

The players aren't the ones dictating it; most the players WANT a black jersey. It's the coaches that tell them no and the administrators above that say no.

I asked Cameron Heyward directly and he laughed and said "Dude, never."

There was a picture from an article early in the year of Urb's office. On the desk it was a complete black uniform in a picture. I thought they would break it out against Michigan this year but did not...maybe never will but it is there.

Maybe they will bust that one out some year they need extra 'motivation' in the big game....

The team better never been in such a state where they need motivation from wearing a dumbass black jersey.

I couldn't care less what the Bucks where on the field, all I care about is how they play on the field. They can be wearing pink jerseys as long as they're playing for National Championships.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a black jersey as a one time thing. I think a gray jersey would be hideous.

.
30 years ago, schools had a say in what times their games were to be played. We see where that went.

Third string quarterback leads Ohio State to National Championship, partly because of the ridiculous uniform of the Ducks and that name.......................Ducks.

Ha ha ha ha!

Go Bucks!!

Tiernan;1692747 wrote:Disregard Sleeper's hyperbole, the Ducks are a legit big time Offensive threat and I believe they will give the Bucks fits in trying to adjust to a myriad of changing sets. On the other side of the ball OSU also possesses the advantage over a very suspect ORE defense that has not seen a power running attack complemented by a legit long ball threat. The coaching advantage is distinctly Buckeyes and the underdog role is a natural motivator we seem to respond to. Athleticism across O, D and special Teams appears to be our advantage also. It's gonna be a ball buster of a game.
Jesus... I can't believe I'm saying it, but I agree with Tiernziel .

This "dipshit" agrees with this:

"It's gonna be a ball buster of a game."

Nice analysis, though.

They are a dime a dozen.
