The Browns and Manziel will run the table, finish 10-6, and likely miss the playoffs. I will be pissed off for 8 months. And...with that reality staring us in the face, there are still assholes that are defending Kojak in starting the 27th rated quarterback in the league last Sunday. (31st now)

For those that think the Browns are close to controlling their own destiny...better think again. As for winning the division, the ONLY way the Browns control their own destiny going into week 17....Pittsburgh loses at a 5-8 Atlanta team...AND loses again at home against KC....AND the Bengals lose their 3rd game in a row in a home tilt against Denver. Highly unlikely. There is a scenario that the Browns can control their own destiny in landing a wild card berth leading up to the Baltimore game as well...but a whole bunch of shit has to go right as well.

No...Pettine ruined the season this year plain and simple. And fuck all those Brian Horror knob polishers that in my view are complicit in wrecking what should have been a banner season.

Pittsburgh will win a lot of the tiebreakers if it comes down to it. They have a 7-3 AFC record which is tied with the colts and only bettered by NE. If the steelers dont win the division that will come up huge. Sucks when they were beaten by TB and NO, but a loss vs the NFC isnt always as damaging as a loss to a AFC can be. Browns are 4-6 vs the AFC andthat puts them behind a few teams.

If Manziel comes out and sucks ass against Cincy, someone is going to take a verbal beating......

I was talking about on here. There's been a lot of talk about Manziel being the "second coming" and about how he'd "lead the Browns to the playoffs." I want him to succeed too but if he looks more like his second drive against Buffalo than his first, the few posters on here who said it are going to hear about it, I'm sure. It's one thing to do what I did in backing a crappy QB like Weeden. It's completely another to dub Manziel a "future Hall of Famer" and have over the top claims, etc.

69% completion rate on his resume indicates pretty solidly that he'll hit people 10 yards in the clear.

The Browns fans are finally going to see a glimpse of what quality quarterback play is.

Next year barring injury, Manziel will rank 15th or higher (compare that with 31st) next season. Probably rank in the top 10...even as a red shirt rookie. Care to wager?

Manziel will make rookie mistakes. When the center hikes the ball on the wrong snap count and hits the quarterback in the knees, it's going to be blamed on rookie mistakes. I'm good with that.

Gotta be able to read a defense, which I'm VERY skeptical that he can. As I said before he came in the league, he's going to have to play a lot of "schoolyard ball" (Fran Tarkenton, if you will) by scrambling around, buying time, until guys are WIDE open because of that weakness (reading defenses).

Listening to Baskin and Phelps...and Baskin was saying that Hoyer had a successful season. You can't make this shit up folks. Brian Hoyer not only ruined his chance for "starter's money", he will be completely out of football next season. He has exceeded even my expectations in horrible football play.

For a journeyman 2nd string QB, Hoyer probably DID have a successful season. It wasn't Peyton Manning-like but for a career backup, it's about what one would expect.

I wasn't a fan of Pettine starting Hoyer last week but I do see the method to his madness. What was inexcusable was leaving that ham & egger in the game when it was clear he was a sinking ship. Apparently, everyone in the city of Cleveland got that memo except Pettine.
