Game over. Nice effort by Sparty though.

Big Ten moves to 3-3.

Was there ever a more sure thing than that MSU would blow this game? Might as well bring back John L. Smith. It's at least entertaining with him. Dantonio can't get the quality of athletes to win playing Tressel ball.

Bob Davie kills me. Anyone else notice that he can't say the word "football"? He calls it a "foot-bowel".
I think he does a pretty good job of analyzing a game, too bad he couldn't have done it on the hot seat in South Bend

And I'm glad Tech won. I had 34 confidence points in this game due to the State suspensions, but was more than a bit worried after the Leach stuff went down.

My Yahoo group thing is pretty much screwed by all the other games I've lost, but at least this win can make me a higher-placed loser!

LOL. Did you hear Verne and Gary bring up Florida and Tebow several times during the FSU-WVU game? Those two jokers won't know what to do without Tebow next year. They'll be asking CBS to let them do NFL games.

He's definitely knowledgeable...Just makes some comments that kinda get on my nerves. He's much better than most commentators though.

$5 says the first question for Ruffin McNeil after this game is something about Mike Leach...

No. They clearly will mention Tim Tebow first, even though he has nothing to do with this game.

Dear Texas Tech,

Hiring a career assistant after an emotional bowl win will destroy your program.

Sincerely,

playing the moral victory card before the game is even over??? :D
Just the facts maam, just the facts. :)

How many of the 14 suspended started during the season.....or even played? 2? 3?

Texas Tech lost their coach and have endured the biggest media hype during the bowl week. The team that is known for offense lost the coach who called the plays. I'd say the disadvantages were about even.

This win definitely puts TTU in a bind. An emotional bowl win, team played great, made some gutsy calls that paid off, and he did a great job of holding the team together during the Leach mess. They're almost in a spot where they are obligated to hire him. Lots of TTU fans and players will be on his side anyway.

You hire him and the assistants stick around. The offense that Leach built up will continue to be polished. You don't hire him and the new coach comes in, cleans house (including the temp head coach), changes up the offense, and might take years to get to the point they have been the last few years with a new system. If the new system even works.

I don't think TTU will hire him. My gosh, if Tech doesn't make that 3rd and 15 or so with about 5 minutes to go, they probably lose the game. They are going to hire a head coach based on the result of one play?

I'll be shocked if they hire him.

Are they gonna be able to bring in a big name coach now with the way the Administration handled the Leach situation? They are going to need a big name coach to take the program to the next level or hire the interim coach and hope the continuity can help increase the programs status.

Tech won't hire hime as the head guy, but you like the fact that the kids at least responded and played hard for him when they could have folded under all of the things that were going on

If they do hire him they better get some kinda deal on towel laundry...did you see that guy a-sweatin & a-wipin during the game? But seriously, congrats to a TT team that has been rocked this past week. I hope Adam James transfers to ND.

Why is that? Ohio State already have enough sons of former players who can't stay out of trouble?

Carter's kid isn't in any trouble...he's just a moron...there's a big difference. As for James he'd feel right at home with all the other slow short white kids at ND.
