What part of my post said "I'll only be happy with a championship THIS season?"like_that;1748136 wrote:So as lhslep pointed out (and you denied), you will only be happy with a championship.
Winning a championship is always the end goal. It also won't be possible until they get a legit QB so this year is out of the question.
Anyone who watches their team in hopes of them being "competitive" is a fool and a loser. Take that "everyone wins a prize/liberal bullshit" mentality somewhere else. I think Herm Edwards pretty much summed it up.

They did?BR1986FB;1748132 wrote:The Cavs tanked for Lebron. Don't care if I have to dive on that grenade of a two win season as a fan as long as they get the QB. Do NOT want to see a 7 win season and Matt Cassel or Sanchez as their QB next year, continuing the cycle of QB purgatory.

The fact you wont simply answer my question tells me you would only be satisfied with a championship. If the Browns made the playoffs are you telling me you still would not be happy because you want to tank for a QB?BR1986FB;1748138 wrote:What part of my post said "I'll only be happy with a championship THIS season?"

If that's the case what the fuck is the point of even following the Browns this season?

To answer the question: What would make me happy this season:
1. Making the playoffs
2. Beating Shittsburgh/Baltimore/Cincy (going 6-0 in the division)
3. Tearing rapistfucker's raping muscle, ending his career.
4. Joe GOAThomas pancaking that woman beater Harrison into the turf so hard he had to pried out of the turf ending his season. Then GOAThomas beating his fucking ass after the game so he knows what it feelz like.
5. Joe GOAThomas blocking Harrison into Mike Tomlim, tripping Tomlin tearing Tomlin's ACL in the process. Fitting injury for that cheating POS.
6. Entire Browns team peeing on Art Modell's grave. May he forever rot in hell.
See BR, not that difficult.

BR wouldn't be happy with signs of improvement from the front office, coaching, and personnel? wat?
You can have a shit QB and still come away with some positives going into next year. Tank the season for a QB....lol...who? Unless there is someone I'm unaware of, I don't see anyone for next years QB crop that screams "franchise QB."

I see some potential legit NFL starting QBs, but definitely none worth tanking for.Automatik;1748155 wrote:BR wouldn't be happy with signs of improvement from the front office, coaching, and personnel? wat?

I just wish br would answer the question instead of back pedaling, because currently he has said championship/bust.

Not to mention, out of all the players we acquired when we "trade raped" Atlanta for Julio Jones, are now off the team as well.

That's the only downfall to acquiring more draft capital--when the people doing the actual drafting ensure you won't get the benefit of your bargain.HighRoller74;1748180 wrote:Not to mention, out of all the players we acquired when we "trade raped" Atlanta for Julio Jones, are now off the team as well.

Many issues with the browns are overlooked. Mcnown might be one of the best qbs we have had in long time. I mean what have we had? Couch. Frye? Only one to make the playoffs.. . Anderson? We all know all our draft picks suck , but as browns fans are concerned u have to see the bright side of things..

Shocker. Said he was garbage a while ago. Can't make the club when you're always in the (ice) tub. There are three more first rounders from 2013 & 2014 who probably won't be far behind Taylor.HighRoller74;1748178 wrote:Phil Taylor has been cut.

You mean "you play to win the game?" You don't play to be "competitive." I think what I said in that paragraph is exactly what Edwards meant.Laley23;1748183 wrote:What Herm Edwards said means, literally, the exact opposite of what you're saying.

You're saying you'd rather go 2-14 than 7-9. You say fans are wrong for cheering to see the team win, even if it means we win too often to get the top pick. Herm was saying exactly the opposite of you in that sense. You play to win every game.BR1986FB;1748194 wrote:You mean "you play to win the game?" You don't play to be "competitive." Come to think of it, I believe that quote came about due to reporters asking him specifically about tanking.Laley23;1748196 wrote:You're saying you'd rather go 2-14 than 7-9. Eh, I thought after he kept moving the goalposts back and then went into spin doctor mode that he would ignore direct attacks from you, COA, Durkie, etc. on what he said.like_that;1748203 wrote: Never thought you would adopt jordo's tactics.

It's all part of the same playbook. Br is back pedaling by not answering a simple questions and now he is avoiding it when his own words and logic are presented to him.lhslep134;1748204 wrote:Eh, I thought after he kept moving the goalposts back and then went into spin doctor mode that he would ignore direct attacks from you, COA, Durkie, etc. on what he said.

The question was what will make you happy this season, not what your IQQY outlook on what a successful season will be. It's really not that difficult.BR1986FB;1748210 wrote:Three wins. That will be a "success." Question answered.
Edit: Unless you are satisfied with 3 wins, but something tells me butt hurt BR would not be satisfied with 3 wins.
