I agree with sonofanump, I think Pryor makes it.

He did though have a winning record as a starting QB, numbers unfortunately do not lie, but the fact I watched him shit down his leg a few times last season didn't lie either. All I was trying to get across is that we desperately need to find a bell cow at the QB position. I honestly think we have a very nice young team building up there on the lake, but the primary cog missing is consistency at quarterback. Hoyer could only get us "so far" so to say. We need to actively look for the person who will get us farther, develop them with patience and coaching, not a baptism by fire, and stick by them. (on a side not I think it is going to be hilarious watching a 5'8 QB throw to multiple 5'8 receivers at some point this season, it will be like the circus came to town.)
What are you even arguing about? Hoyer and McClown suck. JFF aint the savior either. We have to win with defense, running game and ball control. Trying to argue about QB is just fucking stupid. We don't have a stud (Rodgers) so we have to win other ways. You have something to add to that, reading your tl;dr QQ rant, I would think not.

Other than it is WAY too early in the season for you to be this angry about something said on an internet message board?

All I was doing was venting some frustration as a fan, and He-Man up there is trying to harness the power of Greyskull through his keyboard. Simmer down man, we have 18 more weeks to go.

This in a nutshell. Pretty obvious the front office doesn't GAF about the QB position so they will have to win in other ways. I agree with your premise, not necessarily with going off on the OP.

Pryor will end up on the team. I think he's a decent receiver and can add some utility in the passing game that others cannot.

Cuts today, among first cuts: Wynn was most notable.

I think the Browns are going to need a veteran running back going into this season. Don't trust West or the Crow and it looks like Duke could be an injury problem. There should be some veteran cuts coming up. Not that I want him but the Bills just dumped Fred Jackson. Pettine keeps getting asked about Ray Rice too.

More on Rice....

In all seriousness, he sucks, injury prone, bad teammate, and has a HUGE contract. What's to like? Why would anyone want him?

Agreed. With his baggage, etc I don't know that he'd be much of an upgrade to what's already on the roster.

I'd take Fred Jackson. He's a consummate professional, still has a little juice left, and may be able to mentor the young bums we have in our backfield.

Not giving a fuck and understanding your limitations are two very distinct concepts. Not surprised you blurred the line.

You know, you're right. Maybe we should sign Adrian Peterson or Jamaal Charles in free agency since they're available. That way we'll have an All-Pro running back. :RpS_lol:

I understand that Fred Jackson isn't ideal, but we have to understand the limitations we must operate within, and there are NO better options available. Maybe Ray Rice would be better, but I venture to guess that they'd BOTH be better than the three bums we currently have in our backfield.

Just my personal belief. I think that defensive minded coaches like Pettine/Rex Ryan have a certain arrogance where they don't value the QB position as much as other organizations and feel that they can be highly competitive with this "run the ball/win with defense" bullshit.

If you consider back to back AFC title games with Mark Sanchez at QB to not be a highly competitive form of "run the ball/win with defense bullshit", then continue to whine like a little baby because that's what you sound like right now.

He's a bum and I don't think he's better than anything currently on our roster. He's old for a RB and wasn't amazing last season; I'd rather just play the current scrubs we have now and see if any of them pan out.

If I thought the Browns had a defense/running game like those Jets teams I might agree with you.

Keep moving those goalposts back BR. First it was "arrogance to think they can win with that bullshit." And now you're saying "well if the Browns were as good as those teams who won with that bullshit I might agree".

We obviously have different definitions of "win." For me, it's championship or bust. For you, it must be "win some games."

For me, back to back AFC Championship appearances is a pretty decent example of "winning".

For you, 31 teams fail each year. Enjoy those absurdly unrealistic expectations. No wonder you're such a miserable fan. If you weren't already aware, there's another thread for your type located a couple threads underneath this one.

I would be completely miserable going into each season with a "championship" or bust attitude as a fan of a non-contender. There are acceptable outcomes other than "win a championship." LOL @ BR believing otherwise.
