What DW did is a "little action"?

If the cop (DW) would of had a video camera on in the shooting, the same outcome (riots) would happen?

mmhmm.

"Nice fail"

You're only kidding yourself if you don't think there would have been a reaction to Wilson shooting MB on camera. There would over reaction for every black person that is shot by a cop.

was there only one gazebo in the park? where they told exactly where the kid was located? it also looked like they drove past a tree or something that may have blocked their view.

the real question is why do you put a gun in your waistband, then disobey a cop's order to put your hands up and instead reach for the gun? Idiotic to me.

Order or not, he was pulling a gun out of his waistband when approached by police.

Yeah and bc of the police actions they forced the issue of shooting him. He's a 12 year old kid... We have no idea if he was grabbing his gun to give to them or to drop it or to actually point at them. And we'll never know.

And they have their vehicle for cover. Stay behind it and if he takes out the gun and starts to point it at ya....then shoot.

Right. You don't ever wait to find out it was the latter. Why do people like to defend the ones breaking the laws and waving guns around?

Of course not. Unfortunately the police forced that issue.
Why are people incapable of critical thinking?

The 12 year old forced the issue by pointing it at people and then reaching for it when the police pulled up.

Oh I see. It was the cops that made him pull a gun out of his waistband. It's all so clear now!

Read an article that mike browns step father might face charges for his video that went viral stating " burn this bitch down" charges would include inciting a riot. That'd be great!

I think this is way worse than the Ferguson stuff, regardless if he deserved to be shot too or not. I'm actually shocked this hasn't been more of a story. Media just hasn't ran with it or what?

gosh you're dense.

It was the close proximity to the child that forced the cops to shoot him.

Very sad and I hope the media doesn't end up running with it. I think people have been too busy with the Mike Brown case.

So you disagree that if the cops were at a safe distance from him, they wouldn't have had to shoot him after 2 seconds upon arrival?

What is the proper distance they should have been from him and what makes you think you know it?

Common sense tells me less than 10 feet from someone you know has a gun with nothing in between you and them isn't a proper distance.

You would think the cops would have had a better plan after getting reports of a gunman than rolling up like they were John Mcclane ready for a shoot out.

So what is a good distance...20 yards? Should the cops have gotten out of the car and slowly walked up to him with zero cover at all? What if the cops decided to go 100 yards away and talk to him over a megaphone and it was a real gun and he started shooting people and the cops were too far away to do anything about it? Cops know concealed carriers have guns when they pull them over. Do they make the person get out and lay on the ground so they know its safe? No they walk right up to the window.

People like complaining about cops, but seldom have answers. I'm not a cop, especially not an inner city cop that patrols a high crime area, so I'm not going to pretend I know what they should be doing better than they do.

I'm a fan of holding people accountable for their actions. If the kid didnt reach for the gun when the cops pulled up, he wouldn't have been shot.

When you get called to a scene bc someone is waving a gun around, you know what you're getting into. It's not a concealled carry member whos not likely to pull the gun on you. its not unreasonable to approach the situation as safely for you and them as possible, not one that forces an issue.

im a fan of police protecting its citizens, not protecting only themselves.

You pull a gun out on cops you are getting shot. Doesn't matter if it's 10 feet or 30 yards. Bullets do go further than 10 feet you know.

Also, the cops pulling up close is not a valid reason for pulling a gun out of your waistband. You can question the distance all you want, but I feel you are doing it for the wrong reason.

Yes we've seen that. There's no room for questions on intent or anything. You have a gun and reach for it... Dead.

Bullets go very far but you're missing the point for the close proximity. Since they were so close and nothing in between them and the kid, they had to react so fast and shoot him. If they had the car in between them they would have had more time to assess the situation.

cops pulling up close to him is not a valid reason to pull the gun out and try to shoot them, but we're talking about a 12 year old that you're expecting to respond to a command like and adult. No one know why he was reaching for his gun. He could have been reaching to give it to them or to drop it, but they put themselves in the situation where they had to shoot him bc of it.
