We already have a fast coverage, non thumper ILBer in Robertson. I like him covering TEs much better than trying to keep lane integrity thumping RBs. Just don't think he has ILBer mentality, but again this is all conjecture.

Mingo is solid in certain aspects of the game. He just hasn't panned out to be what they'd hoped they'd drafted, a pass rusher. Using a #6 pick on a run stopping/coverage OLB, when you needed a fierce/impact pass rusher is, as you guys would say an "LOLfail."

I'm not at all saying he is our QB of the future. Just that he has done exactly what has been asked of him (minus the last two games..) and has, at the very least, gotten the Browns back to relevancy. Hoyer's qback rating the last 3 games. 54....53...and then 51. He is now the 27th rated quarterback in the league. He's thrown 6 picks, four more passes that should have been picked, and only 1 touchdown pass. Is that what "we asked him to do"?

When you can't run the ball, and don't have a Peyton, Brady, or Rodgers at QB, you're going to struggle. Hell, even the Broncos struggled for a couple weeks when they couldn't get a running game going.

I was tickled shitless he lead them to that TD ("80 yard drive"). I just take issue with classless/assholes who claim to be Browns "fans" (see you, Chuck Booms, Iggy, etc) who have wished injury on Hoyer and give him credit for NOTHING.

Yes, he's a journeyman/stopgap which we ALL knew, but even Manziel himself yesterday admitted he wasn't ready to lead this team earlier in the season. It's assholes like you, Booms, etc who wanted to throw the kid to the wolves when he wasn't nearly ready.

After yesterday's game, all the assholes on here that think Manziel is inaccurate, has a weak arm... and so on...learn a lesson. If you never watched a kid play in college, then you have no right throwing out your 2 bits.

This team would be 10-2 had Manziel started from the get go. A "not quite ready" Manziel is a lot better than a running out the guy who has posted the 27th worst rating in the league.

Haha...you're so fucking dumb. Not a chance. He admitted himself in his presser yesterday that "no way that (80 yard TD drive) happens in week 3." He's gotten progressively better, week by week, by watching and learning (his words, not my opinion).

I think the defense is a few pieces away from being top notch. I'm in the minority, at least on here, where I think that corner is also a priority. Late first rounders you can go with a RT, one of our 2 1st rounders will be in the bottom 12 (playoffs) most likely as I see either the Browns or Bills being right there.

If they are both in the middle of the pack, then I say you can trade down one of them to a low first and go with a RT.

If they have both and stay around mid 1st round, you are right, I say we go 2 defensive players and get a right side OL in the 2nd round.

As someone who casually watches the Browns you are correct sir. I mean Manziel might not be a better passer but he at least has good speed and can make plays happen in that way. Hoyer has played 1 potential playoff team in the Bengals in the last 7 games with a statline that reads 4 TD's & 9 INT's. You cannot continue to start him

Hoyer seems to be brutal in the red zone. So many FG's and not enough TD's. This is why I've been advocating some kind of red zone package for Manziel. We saw yesterday what he can do inside the 20. Will it be throwing for TD's? Maybe, maybe not, but he's a threat to move the chains with his feet. My biggest concern, as Al Bundy mentioned on the other thread, is his grasp of the playbook. Are they going to have to condense it to 15-20 plays or does he know it?
