I think its bad for the game to let intentional fouls 75-80 feet away from the basket in the 3rd quarter to decide who wins the game

If clippers win today and rockets win their next game, 4 way tie at 54-26 between Memphis, Lac, Spurs, and rockets, just nuts

I'm all for the hack-a-whoever strategy. It makes for interesting basketball.
Also, James Harden will never win MVP. This year Curry has it; next year we are back to Lebron James.

I am okay with this.SportsAndLady;1720766 wrote:I actually think deandre Jordan is the best FT shooter in the NBA and is shooting 45% on purpose so that when he's intentionally fouled in the WCF 10 times in the fourth quarter, he makes them all.

The game I watched them hacking Jordan he was 6/10 in the 3rd quarter and twice the Clips rebounded his misses and scored on that possession.

If the Spurs and Mavs meet in the first round, Hack-A-Rondo will probably be used a lot by Pops.

As it stands, they'd also currently face the Clippers which would be fine with me if I was a fan. I've never been impressed with the Clippers.SportsAndLady;1720756 wrote:Rockets drop from a 6seed to a 2 seed in the west with last nights game.
Have to LOL at ESPN as their header read, "rockets in downward spiral" and "rockets season getting out of hand" and I look it up and they've lost two games in a row lol
Also, harden said he's "done enough" to win mvp. What a douche. Hate that bearded fuck

Its been pretty entertaining watch Russell Westbrook pretty much single handily taking the Thunder to the playoffs (though Kanter has stepped up). All going to come down to the last game of the season. Thunder vs Timberwolves. Pelicans vs Spurs.

Almost single handedly taking them to 3-7 in their last 10?

Yeah and they have been getting handled in those losses.
Kobe defended Westbrook for 54 on 43 shots. No surprise there.

I forgot he wasn't in the MVP discussion or anything. But if you want to cherry pick stats then so be it.Mulva;1721370 wrote:Almost single handedly taking them to 3-7 in their last 10?

My bad. In the future I'll try to avoid bringing up cherry-picked stats like "wins" and "losses" when discussing a player taking a team to the playoffs.Pick6;1721444 wrote:I forgot he wasn't in the MVP discussion or anything. But if you want to cherry pick stats then so be it.

I think Curry got it locked up anyway. Westbrook gets 3rd.

Reps. LOL it's pick6 we're talking about. Nothing screams "carrying your team to the playoffs" like a 3-7 record in L10 and taking 43 shots and numerous defensive gambles in a must-win loss to Indiana.
From Zach Lowe's article today
At times Westbrook was electrifying, but it felt as if he were pushing past the boundaries of what one player should try to do. He monopolized the Thunder offense, and though Oklahoma City has scored well without Durant, Westbrook jacks an ungodly number of bad 3-pointers for a career 30 percent shooter from deep. He can share the burden more than he perhaps understands; his teammates are capable and Westbrook is a smart passer who can slow down and involve everyone.
His drive to carry the Thunder brought out his worst habits on defense; he was a manic train wreck on that end, hopping around wherever he wanted, chasing blocks and steals way outside the Thunder’s scheme. It’s hard for a guard to stabilize a defense featuring Enes Kanter, D.J. Augustin, Mitch McGary, and Anthony Morrow, but Westbrook became part of the problem.

Remember when people said spoelstra is an amazing coach? The guy couldn't even make the playoffs in the east with dragic, wade, deng, and whiteside. He has bosh for a limited time as well.Commander of Awesome;1721526 wrote:Lol heat lol heat lol heat lol

I was one of those people. I was wrong. A good coach would have gotten them to the playoffs. Hell, Vogel got the Pacers to the playoffs without George for 75 games.like_that;1721540 wrote:Remember when people said spoelstra is an amazing coach?
