This.

But somebody has to step up and get a big knock. Duffy having his way since the 2nd inning on.

Out 8 and 9 hitters are worse than a freakin NL team with the pitcher batting. Complete shit offense.

6 outs left. Beef of the lineup will get a shot. Brantley on, Santana gone.

Nope....you can win the next two vs Royals and Royals finish losing 2 of 3 and sweep the Rays but a few Mariners wins would still screw it up

Mariners hammered by 11. That should count as 2 losses, right?

Fitting that Kipnis will end this rally in the 8th. He has been disappointing all year.

Don't tell him I said that. Don't want a nasty tweet coming my way.

Rally? A walk followed by a weak pop up and a strike out from your 4 and 5 hitters is a rally?

The steal made it a rally. Guy in scoring position. Tying run at the dish. I'm begging here.

Have we ever touched Greg Holland? Today would be a good day to start. If Zmac can keep it at 2.

Go to the bench for JB Shuck. It is truly amazing this team even has a chance this late.

JB Shuck, Holt, Walters, Gimenez

This game was the season in a nutshell. Pitching was good enough. Defense didn't make plays that should have been made and the offense let everybody down.

I think they win the next 2. This isn't over yet.

While I would like them to make it, part of me thinks to see any real action with the roster they need to miss out.

What has gone on with the offense all year is a travesty and they wasted playoff worthy pitching.

It's easy to look at all the young pitching and think the windows wide open, but from one year to the next you just never know.

Standing pat was a nightmare it turns out because this team is likely competing for the division easy if they have even 1 more competent bat.

So we need to win 5 straight and the Royals need to lose four out of five and the Mariners need to keep sucking... And we can tie for the # 2 wild card?
I can walk into the Horseshoe casino play a quarter in a slot machine and win $ millions ... Hey, it could happen!
The path to the playoffs just got very narrow and long.

Win the last 5 and we'll see.

Indians win out
Royals go 2-2 vs Chi Sox
Mariners go 3-3 vs Jays and Angels

Indians end 4-1 (beating Royals both games)
Royals go 1-3 vs Chi Sox
Mariners go 3-3 and all 3 tie or 2-4 against Jays/Angels

I get it....not good chances but IMO if the Indians can take care of business on their end the other two teams will feel the pressure.

Didn't the Indians come from a ridiculous margin just last season in similar fashion?

Last September they went 21-6. This September they are 11-10.

Sept 1, 2013. 7.5 games back of Detroit. Ended 1 game behind.
They were also basically 7-8 games out of the wild card.

Sept 22, 2014. 5 games behind Detroit.
As of this date, they had the 2nd wild card and were .5 games behind the 1st wildcard team.

No you can't. You'd have to play max credits and it would likely have to be a Wheel of Fortune progressive to win that amount. :D
