How long have you had the phone? I heard on a call that it takes 72 hours for your phone to learn your habits and adjust usage to that.

That's weird. Mine work Turbo is definitely not getting the 48 hours of battery, but I am easily getting through a day.

Depends on the screen time, I can get 5-6 hours on a full charge. One thing that seemed to help substantially was turning off auto-brightness and setting it with Locale...the auto-brightness sensor seems to set it higher than needed which can drain your battery much faster.

Wifi also looked like it was using too much battery - make sure you have "optimize battery usage when screen off" is checked.

Google Play services is another big culprit (double, because so many Google apps want to use your location). I think on mine it might be driven by Google Play Newstand, but you might also disable auto-Playstore updates (hopefully that disables all the update polling checks).

There's a list over on XDA of a bunch of settings to tweak to optimize battery, as well as apps you can disable.

Yeah but the thing is 30-50% of my battery use according to the phone is just the screen.

That's going to be dependent on how much time your display is actually on. Try setting brightness to a lower setting, manually. Or you can "auto" set fixed brightness levels based on location and time with either Tasker or Locale.

Yes. Boh fantastic and a lot of fun to use. Not overly easy or intuitive, though, if you're not into that sort of thing.

I find Locale to be sufficient for my needs. More flexible with more options than Moto Assist in most cases. Locale or Tasker is a must-have app for any Android power user.
