He was dead on with the Turbo, and said there was an otherwise identical 4.3" device codenamed Valocia(?) going thru testing that would replace the mini. There've been a few more rumors of at least one more device (mini).

Last year @ July/Aug Moto came out with a landslide of devices. Was it 4 or 5? They've come out with 2 so far (not counting G and E, which are quite different). Safe bet there's at least one more Droid coming out in 2014.
Last year Moto was also firmly set with Google...and not in the middle of a transition to a new company. They launched 4 last year (not counting the G) - the Moto X (1st gen), DROID Ultra, DROID Maxx, DROID Mini. This year, they have already launched Moto X (2nd gen), and will soon launch DROID Turbo and the Nexus 6. Companies don't always replace devices 1:1.

I'm not saying you're wrong about the Mini. I'm saying that if it were 4 weeks to announce (or even 8 weeks to announce), our team would have already been prepping on it and there has been nothing. So if there is a Mini, it's highly doubtful you'll see it this year unless something completely dramatic happens.

The Turbo looks pretty sick, I might get it tomorrow.

I probably will as well. If I don't like the size I have 14 days to return it and just eat the restock fee and then find a smaller phone. Maybe I'll wait a week to see early reviews, although I fully expect it to be absolutely rock-solid.

I went from the RAZR to the Note 3. At first the size difference was ridiculous, now I look at smaller phones and wonder how I ever used them.

got the turbo....do not like big phone

My concern was 1-hand use, and I can immediately see this phone won't facilitate 1-hand use. But I need a new phone and so probably stuck with this (otherwise amazing phone).

You must have some stumpy fingers. My wife is carrying one of my Turbos now and has no problem using it with one hand.

Just got my Nexus 6. Surprised at how nice it feels. Most men will be able to use this with one hand without any issue. Charging it up now so I can give Lollipop a run.

Are there no good visual voicemail apps for Android? I've tried using the T-Mobile app and when it has me setup a new pin it just keeps giving me a "pin is incorrect" error.

I'll be honest, I've never used visual voicemail with any of my phones. I'll do some research on it for you, though, if I have some time today.

Google Voice. It will integrate into hangouts once you have it setup.

It looks like Google borrowed a few features from Moto and implemented them into Android. I am glad Moto got a chance to make a Nexus phone. I am also very impressed with the 2nd gen Moto X build quality and I can only assume the Nexus 6 is ever better.

Build quality between the two is about the same. They are, essentially, the same phone when it comes to the exterior with the exception of a bigger screen. The Nexus is very well put together.

I am definitely missing some of the Motorola experiences. The Active Display on the Nexus, while based on what Moto was doing with the Moto X series and the Turbo, is different and will take some getting used to. I also liked having a customized phrase while I was carrying the second gen Moto X and Turbo to launch the Google commands. Going back to "OK Google" seems boring now. I also miss the intuitive modes that you could put the Moto X or Turbo into. My phone would go silent from 11pm to 7am. Nexus does that, but you have to set it each time instead of the phone just remembering and doing it for you. I also miss just twisting the phone to activate the camera. Doing that for a year is a hard habit to break.

So Google definitely integrated some of the features. But they aren't quite up to what Moto is delivering on their own phones. But I'm sure once I get used to them, I'll be fine.

Still anxiously waiting for my update to Lollipop.

So far I am really liking the Moto X. Build quality and aesthetics are top notch, it's easily the best looking phone on the market, IMO. Battery life is okay, not great. Hopefully Lollipop will come with a little boost there. The camera kinda sucks, at least compared to the iPhone 5, but I'm not too worried about that.

Ya...the talking points in store is to never compare the camera to another phone out there. Instead, it's compared to other Motorola phones. The new X and the Turbo are light years ahead of what the old X and the older Droid phones have for their camera. So they are at least working in the right direction. Still a ways to go to catch up to iPhone and Samsung in the camera department.

Anyone have the note4? I have this issue with apps like Facebook, twitter...anything that has pics or video. If I'm on wifi they take forever to load or play. I don't understand it.

It's actually not so bad when I set it on manual exposure mode.

Ah, I see that I would have had to sign up earlier to get in on that rollout. Sherm, can you get me in on that? :)

New phone + Lollipop should set me up for at least 4 years. Hard for me to envision anything enticing me to upgrade in the near future. Apps & features have quite a ways to go to catch-up to the hardware currently out there.
