I definitely understand the reasoning for the rollout, it just seems weird to me that it's basically two days later and my Moto X Pure Edition still doesn't have the update. There can't be that many Pure Editions floating around out there that it should take many days to get to all of them.sherm03;1674129 wrote:They roll it out for a number of reasons. If there is any type of glitch, it only affects a small customer base instead of all Moto customers at once. It gives them a chance to cut off issues before they are real issues. But the roll out time is usually very quick. Once they start, it's not long before it's out to everyone. The groups get larger and larger with each portion of the rollout, so you should have it very soon.

Yeah, I am always excited for a new update, I just have no idea what it will entail. I just wait and find out once it's on my phone, lol.justincredible;1673785 wrote:I'm very excited. Lollipop is the reason I switched to Android in the first place. I've been waiting since Google announced it back in June.

Sherm, do you have any thoughts on the Moto 360? I thought about getting one but I might wait until the second version.

You'd be surprised. Since Moto allowed people to finance phones directly through the site, we're seeing a dip in carrier sales and a big increase in the website traffic.justincredible;1674150 wrote:I definitely understand the reasoning for the rollout, it just seems weird to me that it's basically two days later and my Moto X Pure Edition still doesn't have the update. I like my 360. There was an update last week that helped tremendously with battery life, which was my only complaint. The fit is good, it's smooth, and the new metal bands are absolutely legit. I don't really know what they would do differently for a second generation. So I'd say if you are anxious to get an Android Wear watch, pull the trigger.Jawbreaker;1674157 wrote:Sherm, do you have any thoughts on the Moto 360? One last question. Am I going to get a notification that an update is ready? I keep going in to the settings and manually checking for the update because, like I said, I'm an impatient SOB. Can I stop doing that?

Ya. You can stop doing that. It'll automatically download in the background and then give you a notification that it's ready to install.justincredible;1674165 wrote:One last question. BTW, if the update doesn't come today I'm holding you personally responsible for selling me on this phone.

Basically I can't get past Moto using the TI OMAP chip in the 360. Stupid reason on my part, I know.sherm03;1674159 wrote:I like my 360. If it makes you feel better, I have two live Moto X's, both with AT&T SIMs in them and neither has gotten the update yet. I switched my VZW work line from the Turbo to a Moto X to check and didn't get the update at all. So I just went back to the Turbo.justincredible;1674802 wrote:Still no update. Rabble rabble.
But I'm loving it on my Nexus on my personal line.

iPhone 6 would be my third choice right now behind the Moto X and the Nexus 6. But, I'm picky in that I refuse to buy a carrier-exclusive or carrier-bloatware'd phone.ohiobucks1;1675218 wrote:Any droids coming out (or out) that are worth getting over the Iphone6?
