To be fair, the Vietnam veterans didn't lose that war. If anyone understands what it takes to win a war it would be Vietnam veterans.

Unfortunately they had to deal with the constraints of Cold War politics rather than being permitted to do their jobs effectively. Civilian political leadership lost that war for us.

The lessons we should have learned in SE Asia are returning to haunt us again in Afghanistan, Iraq & Syria. Nobody is ever gonna win a war by "building democracy" it needs to be total devastation and rebuild afterwards.

Plus, it is the whack-a-mole theory, you kill one terrorist group and another takes it place.
And, you can not be merciless than expect the civilians to suddenly be on your side. It does not work that way. The civilians will side with the terrorists, not the occupier. Hello, Vietnam and Iraq showed this.

And, you cannot state you have to be merciless on killing them on the one hand and speak about education in the other. No third party country is going to listen to you if you are killing mass quantities on their own people because you list them as terrorists.
You only create more problems, not solutions.

Taking the stance of defense against terrorist is substaning the fight. Direct and precise offensive against know, confirmed terrorist and terrorist groups .. Not the people, you don't have the kill mass, just a few leaders and followers, to send the message. Take away the financial support, along with the local corrupted government leadership.
Yes you can be merciless against those who rape, murder and dominant with surpressing freedom and rights. Providing education to all, teaching the benefits of freedom of choices, giving the youth and women oppertuities. The locals will welcome the liberties of being educated, it's the goverment that may not welcome an educated population. Establish Christian base support and teaching for people to choose their faith and work together as "religion of peace"

i nor those who served with me, the sons and daughters of American, now the moms, dads and some grandparents only lost our innocents. Those of us that faced the enemy won every fight, those politicians that establish a weak, timid goverment, spineless commitment and a cowardly mentality of patriotism lost.

Best thing you've ever said. But it's totally correct just look at Reconstruction after the Civil War and Japan and Europe after WWII. Thing is these people have to do it themselves, we've been working at this thing for 238 years, it's not just something you can copy and paste.

Another thing to add is that we have an extremely rare luxury of being one of seven countries(US, Canada, Argentina, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam and Australia)that can feed itself. These nations have no agricultural base for their economy

Fort Hood shooter requests to become citizen of ISIS...

And the obama regime called his terror attack "workplace violence".

There is no doubt, we have elected the enemy.

Sooo?
Dude is locked up and not a threat. Who the hell cares if he wants to be in ISIS?
That is like Charles Manson saying he wanted to join the Branch Davidians.
It doesn't matter as he is locked up and is not going anywhere.

You have to eliminate the evil before you can hope for a democracy. If you eliminate the evil, you can create a democracy (just look at Germany as an example). If we had fought the Nazis the way that we fight evil groups today, we never would have won WW2.

What matters is how this regime treated and termed his terrorist actions.

I'm sorry, what was the verdict?
Oh, that is right, he was found guilty and will get the death penalty.

No, all that matters is...Obama. Since I'm pretty sure QQuaker manufactures his opinion on any event based solely upon whom the president is. If it was an R doing all this, he'd be blowing them for taking terrorist filth off the streets. But because it's a D, he's blasting them for not using strong enough words to denounce him while finding him guilty.

There's just no way Quaker is for real. This has to be a really dedicated multi-year troll job. And for that, I applaud him.

That's one thing I've wondered over the years. Between the daily over-the-top link-posting and wash/rinse/repeat ranting combined with how whenever anyone goes against him or Tea Partiers, his "It's a sad day when the true defenders of peace and fiscal sanity are mocked" whining, it is very easy to believe he's some random left winger is having a blast with a hilariously out-there parody in an attempt to discredit conservatives in general.

And, let's be honest, it's a lot less scary to believe he trollin' than that he truly is this crazy.

Every time they kill a journalist I feel less sorry for the collateral damage that happens from killing these fools. Obama should come out and say "For every innocent American you kill, we will order another 100 air strikes. Where is your god now?"

The quote actually is "when the defenders of liberty and advocates for fiscal sanity are ridiculed, you know the republic is in trouble".

Apparently, to the youngsters out there and those not of nimble mind, maybe that is really 'crazy'.

After watching The Ring, I try not to pay direct attention to your words, as I'd like to live longer than 7 more days.

I used to hunt and own guns but I don't anymore out of respect for my girlfriend's daughter who is special needs. I've been thinking a lot more lately about buying a few since this asshole seems to just want ISIS to cruise across our borders from Mexico.
