The Indians next 9 games are against the bottom feeders....starting with a brief trip to Minneapolis....and it's time to score some Ws if they still hope to be a contender.

6-3 is a minimum.

The Tribe opens the series with Trevor Bauer on the hill, trying to duplicate or better his last outing performance. He'll be opposed by the Twinkie's Kyle Gibson (11-9, 3.96).

T.J. House with face off against Nolasco (6-8, 5.00) on Wednesday.....Kluber against Hughes (13-8, 3.76)on Thursday.

Note to VBall....You won't have Tyler Holt to kick around...not at least for 10 days. He has been optioned back to Columbus to make room for Danny Salazar's return yesterday. Holt made some spectacular catches...and some awkward ones too ;)...while getting 5 hits in 13 AB (.385) in his debut with the big league club.

Earlier today the Tribe extended Scott Atchinson with a contract for next year with an option for 2016. The 38-year-old relief pitcher is 6-0 with a 2.95 ERA.

Tribe trying to battle back. 5-3. Don't understand a sac bunt down 2 in the 5th. Why give away an out?

And Bourn scores on a wild pitch...making me look silly.

Either way...Aviles could have gotten the runner over other ways as well.

And...look at his career numbers vs Gibson!

Plus, in a game with offense, 1 run means a lot less...go for the big innings.

You would have a hard time convincing me there is a better catcher in the AL than Gomes.

...note to Vball....Tyler Holt was recalled today and made it to the park just in time for game time. He did not have to wait the mandatory 10 days because of the injury to Ryan Raburn.

He came of the bench to pinch hit and doubled home Gomes and Chiz, to give the Tribe the lead ;)

I'm going to make a gentleman's bet that before the year is out, you like the guy.

That was a nice comeback. Keeps us in it, as royals and tigers both win. Wouldn't have been ideal to start with a loss when we realistically need to go 5-1 in this stretch...

That was a good win. It was nice that Brantley didn't have to do it all for a change.

Detroit pulled one out in extras and Royals were down early but stormed back on the Rocks.

The AL East helped out. Yankees, Jays and Rays all fell. Get them out of the way and then focus on the Tigers/Royals in September and just have to catch one of them.
