Ohio State's offensive scheme (playing keep away) and a kick ass defense WON this game.

Nobody gave it to them.
Anyone else throw stuff at the TV every time Oregon returned a kickoff or punt tonight? Looked like OSU special teams were taking crutches and canes down on coverage.

Great win for the Bucks- I think more good things are to come for the Big10 this bowl season.

OSU dominated this game except on kick coverage. Nobody gave it away. OSU threw the ball, ran the ball and held a very HIGH octane offense to less then 300yds!! That my friend, is called BEATING a team, outright.

I'll give them credit...Ohio State looked good today. Pryor played very well, and it was nice to see Tress open up the playbook a little bit. OSU's defense was simply stellar...and the OLine completely controlled the game.

And after seeing this Florida/UC game...I guess the debate over who the best team in Ohio is can now be put to rest.

Congrats on your win Ohio State. Enjoy it OSU fans.

Maybe one day soon, I'll know what it feels like to see my team win a BCS bowl.

yeah, kick coverage is what led to all of their points. We put our defenses in some bad positions on short fields. When they had to go a little ways we were a lot better and got just enough pressure at times to win. Didn't look as dumb as I thought we might look on that zone read, and, eventhough we didn't tackle well at all(this was REALLY irritating watching Coleman bounce off of people all day), we made enough plays on that side of the ball to win the game

Don't discredit UC too much,

Florida would have beaten anyone in the country with their play tonight.

Also, UC came out hot this year and fizzled at the end, while OSU stumbled out the gate then got it rolling quite well at the end.

If UC and OSU both met on a day where they were firing at all cylinders, I'd still give it to OSU but that game would probably only be about a TD difference.

OSU is the best in Ohio, yes... but UC was a solid team too.

Sorry man. UC was not that great. Sure they beat up on some pansies early in the year. But that defense was simply piss poor. Take Ohio State at their best (like tonight) and UC at their best (I guess when they squeaked one out against Oregon State) and OSU would simply crush them. The fact is that a team with zero defense like UC can not hang with the big boys.

CLEARLY....there was NO face masking penalty on that play..... the Oregon defender CLEARY grabbed Pryor's jersey. But hey, don't let the CLEAR video replay construe the facts......ABC never showed a replay, but ou know what they say, ABC/ESPN clearly have an agenda against OSU.........lmao!

Had you watched the game, they did show a replay, and the guys hand grabbed the opposite side of the facemask and pulled back slightly slipping to his jersey for the complete tackle.

The rule is that if the facemask is grabbed, it's a 15 yard penalty.
