I watched part of the GSW/Lakers game last night, and he looked like he has settled some, but nowhere near what he needs to be.
No one thinks he's making a team.

I actually think Mike Conley is the best defending PG in the league right now. Don't think Craft is as good as him defensively, so I'm going to disagree. He's not a top 5 defender.

Really going out on a limb there, I know.

Not disagreeing but I saw something interesting the other day. Slam asked Brad Beal the 3 toughest one on one defenders he went up against. This is his response.

SLAM: You also draw the other team’s best defender most nights. Who’s the best one-on-one defender out there?

BB
: [Thinking] [Matthew] Dellavedova from Cleveland is a great defender. He’s a pest, he annoys you. I give credit where it’s due, man, ’cause he’s definitely one of the toughest that I’ve been against. [Iman] Shumpert from New York, he’s a great defender as well. And of course Tony Allen.

I completely forgot to add Shump and Tony Allen to that list of guards who i think D up just as good if not better than craft. Didnt have a clue about Dellavedova though

Boozer to the Lakers. That gives them 4 PF's so far this offseason.

They are. But the moves they have made(most are WTF???) have been to help clear some space and get a pick or 2.

I still don't understand why they bid on Boozer though. He is hot garbage.

While that's interesting, coming from a cavs fan that watched 50+ games last year that doesn't match up to what I saw. I haven't dived into the stats, but Delladova isn't an Eric Snow/Delonte West. While solid on defense, not once last season did I think man, that aussie is a lock down defender. Maybe I need to go back and relook, but that doesn't jive with my impressions from the past season. Any other cavs fan think he was an elite defender?

I agree. Didn't seem like an elite defender to me. He's actually been beat a lot from what I've seen in summer league.

That's probably Beal just getting annoyed at him. Not MD being a good defender lol. More like, "this fucking white boy won't stop chasing me and leaving me alone!!"

Great question....
In alphabetical order. I put the guys in bold that I would keep...

PG-Irving/Lillard/Rose
SG-Beal/Curry/DeRozan/Harden/Thompson
SF-Durant/George/Hayward/Korver/Parsons
PF-Drummond/Faried/Griffin/Love
C-Cousins/Davis

Wouldnt keep Rose because of his injuries. Keeping 4 in the backcourt because any of the 3's can also play the 2 in a big lineup. Curry, Durant, Harden and Parsons give the team enough shooting that they probably don't need Kover, Beal or Thompson. Faried would be a great energy to have as the 12th man. I would not be opposed to dropping Parsons in favor of Korver or Faried.

Has not signed but owner of a Chinese team was coming today to discuss with him. He thinks he can make a little more over there and play more and hopes to sign on for a playoff team near the end of the season.

Just checked out this league and their leading scorer will be familiar to college basketball fans - Tiny Gallon(played at Oklahoma, shattered a backboard in his only season against Gonzaga). He lead the Chinese Basketball Association with 38.6 PPG. 2nd with 34.3 was Tyler Wilkerson from Marshall. Don't remember him but another American doing well over there. Mullens should do well also.

EDIT: Hasaan Whiteside also from Marshall was the league's leading rebounder. Ex Marshall players should just for a team over there.

Fail on my part. I was looking at the 2nd league standings/stats. Top 3 guys all had over 30 PPG. Two of the top 5 scorers are Marcus Williams(UConn PG) and Quincy Douby(Rutgers PG). Both have spent time in the NBA I do believe.
