The Indians, now winners of 5 of 7 and 8 of their last 11 at home, head to Tampa to take on the Rays. The Rays are coming off getting swept at home by the O's, are just 15-20 on the young season. They haven't been able to avoid injuries to the rotation. Hellickson and Cobb are on the DL and Matt Moore is out for year after Tommy John. Perfect time to catch them.
Matchups
Friday- Kluber (2-3 3.60) v Odorizzi (1-3 6.83)
Saturday- McAllister (3-2 3.18) v Bedard (1-1 4.38)
Sunday- Tomlin (1-0 1.35) v Archer (2-1 4.91)
Notes:
-Over the last 3 seasons, the Rays are 9-6 vs the Tribe, including the playoff win in Cleveland last season.
-Something has to give: The Rays are a surprising 7-10 at home this season but the Indians counter with a dreadful 4-11 record on the road.
-Friday night fever: The Rays are 4-1 on Friday nights...making them just 11-19 on every other day of the week. The Indians are 2-3 on Friday.
Go Tribe.

Starting pitching has been ridiculously good. Lets see the trend continue.

4-2 road trip would be great, but Toronto is playing well. Take 2/3 from Rays and hope for a 3-3 road trip. Then, of you sweep one (without being swept) or win both series, it's even better.

Eric Bedard's still in the bigs. That's a bit of a surprise.

2-1 Rays in the 7th. Kluber has been very solid again. I should have included something about David DeJesus owning the Tribe in my write-up. He just kills us.

Brantley ties it with a solo bomb in the 7th. I just love this guy.

Tribe hang a 5 spot in the 7th.
Homer for Brantley. RBI single for Gomes. 3 run bomb for Aviles.

Sounds like Kluber pitched well again giving up some bloop hits and working his way out of it.

Axford doing just fine. Hitting his spots. He needed a good outing.
