Looks like some of the pairings for the ACC/B1G Challenge are being released.

@BrianHamiltonSI: Huge ACC-B1G challenge matchups @SINow has learned: #Duke-#Wisconsin, #OhioState-#Louisville, #Syracuse-#Michigan. http://t.co/vOfypcAjt7

Duke at Wisconsin, along with Texas at UK and UNC at UK, are definitely the highlights of the early season. Those will be spectacular settings.

Indiana is hosting Pitt.

Really wanted them to be @ NCST. Probably wouldve been a tougher game, but I wouldve been able to go.

Ohio State at Louisville will be awesome. Will also be closer for me to go to that game than any Ohio State home game so I'll probably go to it as well.

My best friend I've met through the military is a UL grad. He already called me and told me he will have tickets for us. So ill likely be there too.

Oh great. He probably used his military influence to get free tickets.

Yeah, I saw that.

Not a big fan...keep it in the midwest, the heart of big ten country.

I agree--I liked the bi-annual rotation of Indy and Chicago

Definitely an odd fit geographically, as Maryland is the only school in the Big Ten within 200 miles of D.C. (Happy Valley is about 215 miles or so), but the D.C.-Baltimore area has arguably become the most coveted recruiting ground in the country for elite high school hoops talent. With Maryland's entrance into the conference, the Big Ten is smart to build a presence on the Eastern seaboard in an effort to carve out a piece of that pie.

Not great for the fans, though.

Sucks as a fan, great for the conference.

As Rec said, there isn't a team in the B1G who isn't heavily involved in recruiting the DMV area.

FYI, Chris Quinn, formerly of Dublin Coffman, Notre Dame and 6 years in the NBA was named Director of Player Development at Northwestern. He's been family friends with Chris Collins for a long time. I'll bet he is a D-1 coach in the next 5-6 years...

He was so, so good in HS. Watched him first hand multiple times a year. One of the best players I have ever seen.

Chris was basically doing this this past season with NW. And yes, when he was young, his family was neighbors to the Collins family while in Chicago prior to moving to Ohio. Thus the ties to the Collins family.

Born coach too. Rarely, if ever, not the most intelligent player on the floor.

Yup. It was amazing to watch him operate on the floor.

He used to come to our local rec center and play when we were in HS. He was incredible, the smartest player I've ever played against. He knew what you were going to do before you did.

Yup.

I have very very vivid memories of what he did to my high school while I was there. Including breaking the Coffman scoring record the next night after his record was broken. And guaranteeing it during the pep rally.

Wow didn't know that story that's awesome. He was unshakeable on the court, tremendous mental toughness and composure. I remember him vs Brookhaven in 01 I think it was and he broke their vaunted press single-handedly basically.

Lol welcoming veterans day with a 20+point beat down of one of the armed forces schools...seems like a bad idea

You think it will only be 20 points? It's no different than Ohio State playing Navy in football.

The AD at Navy doesn't think it's a bad idea at all. This is expected to be an annual event. Bringing in a top program to play a game at Navy's home facility with early season exposure for the program and kids is a David and Goliath like opportunity. The service academy bulletin boards have people expressing their disappointment that both Army and Air Force didn't try and do it first. That may come in time.

B1G doing work.

4-0 and about to be 5-0 as long as UofM doesn't blow it.

Expected these results though, minus Rutgers. Nebraska was a 50-50 game. But I would've been surprised in Indiana, Michigan or Minnesota has lost.

Expexting ACC to get in board with Louisville and the surprising NCST squad. Miami (FL) and Illinois is a toss up.
