I'd be surprised if they lose to MSU. Especially if Dawson doesn't play.

I know the answer, $$$, but Rutgers doesnt belong in this league.
They had a couple of decent football seasons but come on man!

Jesus this is moving fast!

[22:34] <@Peegs> before this afternoon I thought we might not see any news till after the season, not as sure tonight
I guess Crean is looking to move on himself, and that he and IU will come to an agreement on a small buyout so he can seek other jobs open this year.

Yeah, but the don't check IPs or anything. We split the cost with like 7 guys...and all can be logged on at same time lol.

Ha. Good stuff. How much they charging? I used to be regular there years and years ago and stopped when they started to charge.

Inthink it like (ironically) $12 a month. But you can get the yearly for $95. It covers the national rivals board as well, which is a decent perk.

Apparently it has worked well if they are still around and charging. I just refuse to pay for websites.
Someone I follow is started to to do this. He outs fake Navy SEALs. His video's are all on youtube (Don Shipley) but apparently they give him so much crap about them and he is making his own place to view them but it costs $$$$. I expect that to fail.

I dont mind chipping in for this because I actually DO get insider information that isnt available to public for sometimes months later.

The rumors that are out there are either confirmed/hinted at being true/or denied by the site administrator. Which is really nice. Ive grown to hate Tom Crean more for some of the rumors about him as a person that have come to be true/confirmed.

Also come to really appreciate a lot of the players who most wouldnt like (like Troy Williams) because of stuff I have learned from it.

It sucks to sift through some of the bullshit that posters put out there, but when you can figure out who knows stuff, it is a great site.

Keep us posted. I have to give Crean credit for taking the job when they were awful, and putting them back on the map, but they have maxed out with him. He is too whiney for my liking and just not getting things done on the court. To have no answer for a zone defense is just rediculous. His offense looked like a JH team who just saw a 1-3-1 zone for the first time.

We will see how the players react saturday and in the BTT.

I feel confident putting this hear, as I cant post on FB or Twitter yet. But...

The administrator (Peegs) and Jeff Rabjohns (formally of the IndyStar), all but said Glass is saying the right things so other coaches see him as supportive. Tom Crean is actively looking for another job with Alabama as the lead candidate. That, if that happens, his salary is deducted from a buyout, which the two are already working to negotiate as a fair settlement. Tom Crean and family WANT to leave...he is pissed about booing, fans leaving, being crucified on radio...(ie, what a fucking bitch). It is almost assuredly over in Bloomington.

Rabjohns added later on, about midnight last night, that he just got a phone call saying lawyers have been involved earlier in the day. Speculating it was about the buyout numbers.

Mike Pegram estimates that Brad Stevens 40%, Shaka Smart 40%, Gregg Marshall 10%, other 10% would be the next coach, but that could change drastically.

Rabjohns said gun to his head, Stevens is the guy right now. Donors, former players and the current Athletic Department will make a huge push for Brad. They want him badly. Also said Stevens, just like at Butler, has an out clause for Duke and Indiana within the Celtics contract.

Rabs later said that he expects MORE attrition from the team (going pro, transfers, etc) if Crean is retained and that there seems to be a giant discourse between players and Crean because he is such an odd guy. His antics wear on the players over the months/years. Said a home run hire would be BETTER for the teams chances next year, not only coaching wise, but player wise. Pegram about 10 minutes later said he could confirm all this from a separate source.

Both of them stressed how bad the state of Indiana AAU and HS coaching circles look at Tom Crean. They cannot stand their players going to play for a guy who forces out players and oversigns by sometimes 4! Has terrible roster balance and generally is a weird guy. He has, for all intents and purposes, lost the state and the ability to recruit it...which might as well be suicide as the coach of IU.

The CRAZIEST thing about the whole thing is...about 10 hours after all this is revealed to us, Thomas Bryant schedules a visit for the game tomorrow lolol

Wow. Good stuff.
Wasnt his AAU/HS ties applauded when he started over the likes of Kevin Simpson (incorrect spelling intentional)?

I do feel much better this time around though than when they were searching and hired Crean.

If the next coach they hire doesnt return them to a national presence in a fairly routine manner, I think all would be lost.

Yes, because he went after the kids relentlessly and wasnt dirty. But, over time, that relentlessness proves to be his way and not so much how much he covets the kid. I was fooled by it early on, but then you learn what it really is.

Stevens and Marshall would both be great hires. Not sure how Shaka's style would fit in the B1G.

Why would Stevens leave the Celtics? I think he's actually a great NBA coach

Because he is from Indiana. Grew up an Indiana fan. Has admitted many times Indiana is his dream job. Said when he was hired it was the Cal/Pitino route to learn about the nba for when he returned to college. Because he grew up going to Indiana games. He used to watch the 1976 title game every morning instead of cartoons growing up. His wife has (behind closed doors) said she doesn't like the city life. IU could pay him more (unless Celtics upped his contract). I could keep going, but I'll stop.

The only issue is, would he leave the Celtics just 2 years in. That's where the speculation and doubt comes into play.

As far as leaving Boston and the NBA....who knows. I always thought I would rather coach in the NFL than college so I didnt wouldnt have to do all the recruiting and ass kissing of kids and their families.

Maybe it si because I dont really like the NBA but I would rather coach college hoops. The logic doesnt make sense though because you get a truly great player and he is 1-2 and then done.

It makes sense when coaches are getting fired in the NBA after 1.5 years, and at Indiana youd have a 40+ year job.

You would think, even with the number of guys who only stay 1-2 years, that the collegiate game once you started getting the program right that the name itself will attract talent. With the schedule 20+ wins is a given and if you do a good enough job in getting a well rounded team you should be able to compete for quite a long time. Look at Matta at OSU..he has done a fantastic job.
In the nba you can get canned pretty quick, have a few pre-madonna players who pout and dont listen and you are screwed

Lol yeah that was ridiculous. Watching it live I yelled "Holy shit that was incredible" my wife who was getting ready for work in the other room goes "what?" I told her she had to come in here and see this. She's not a sports fan too much and I was surprised she waited for the replay to be shown. Her response was "Jesus that was pretty awesome."

As for posting a vine sorry I don't know how to do it either never tried.
