I am not expert but I would have guessed it came from some slices of meat that looked like they were just sliced off the steer a few minutes ago.

Pricey, like $32 a pop, but good.

B Spot Burgers - Gahanna yesterday for lunch.

Fucking solid well cooked burger at decent price. 8/10 definitely recommend. The only thing I didn't understand is why they had 15 servers on hand for a place that wasn't even 1/4 full. I guess it's a pretty sweet gig for a teenager to get paid to socialize and stand around

I imagine the place is packed on a regular basis though. They typically are during meal hours.

Great burgers. Great root beer too.

As far as their sides go, the mac and cheese and white cheddar grits are fantastic. The fries are good. I haven't had the spoon bread but I hear it's their best side.
Ate at The Eagle today and you were spot on. Fried Chicken was amazing, probably the best I've ever had, and based on what we had today the spoon bread is the best side. Definitely will go back soon.

A new place in town called "Trusty Woods"-which comes from Seger's "Night moves".

Family dining atmosphere-limited menu for now-the special Saturday was a 16 oz sirloin with cheesy potatoes and corn casserole and biscuit. Wife and I both got that and it was very good. A real home cooked taste to everything. I have had the meatloaf before and it was pretty good too. A nice addition to town if you don't necessarily feel like eating in a bar.

So Wally is it worth the trip for us to head down to the SW part of the county? I am always in search of a great steak........

They only have the steak when it is a special. I don't know if that will be every Saturday or not.
I don't know-it isn't a fancy place by any means. Were you ever in Meinerding's? That’s the building it's in and they haven't redecorated yet-only been open 2 weeks.

Yeah, been there a few times over the years but dont recall much about it. Think I was told a new place was opening, will have to check it out. Has to be better steak that Tinmans though. Had that once and the rub or whatever they put on there made the steak uneatable. That was the first, last and I presume only time I would not ever finish a steak and just let it sit and not take him.

May have to swing on over sometime and check it out.

Went to a Wisconsin Supper Club for the first time this past weekend. Holy crap, there was a ton of food.

It was called "Schwarz Suppler Club". I believe located outside of Elkart Lake? Not sure exactly, as I rode with friends. I was new to the whole idea of a supper club and didn't quite grasp the concept. You're basically eating in someone's house. The main restaurant resembles your grandmother's dining room only made to accompdate large groups. You order your food when about a minute after you walk in so the "wait" period is basically however long it takes for them to cook your food. In the meantime, you sit around in a bar/parlor area and have drinks and chat.

I had the prime rib and a strong Whiskey Manhattan (yes I know, Wisconsin, I should have gotten brandy..but whatever). Sixteen ounce prime rib with au jus dipping sauce. Huge hunk of steak. We had about 4 couples at our table so we shared a couple orders of onion rings. Delicious food all around and great hospitality. Would highly recommend it.

Kind of leary about telling you it's worth coming over. You never like what I like.. I like Thienman's steak. Another place we disagree on-I eat at Buffalo Wings & Rings just about every Friday and have never had anything to complain about-actually like it.

I have tried to like Buff wings and rings, went their 3 diff times, but man each time I left very unsatisfied! Maybe Tinmans had a bad night and they put too much of that seasoning/rub on their steak but that night it was uneatable and overbearing.

I will make it on over your way to try it out so I can complain how bad it is......if it indeed is bad!

Hot Chicken Takeover

easily my favorite place to eat. It is now the highest rated restaurant in Ohio on Yelp. If you plan to go though get there right at noon because their only open Saturday and Sunday from 12-4 but they sellout out at around 2:30 most days. I still haven't been able to try the wings because their always sold out.

Took the road trip to The Fort to check it out (my 3rd trip to your fair town in a month).
The corn casserole thing...assuming it was the same as teh side on sat, was pretty good.

Flipside in Hudson. 7/10. Good burger and fries, and they have a great beer list.

Yeah I am not a huge fan of B Spot. I think everything but the shakes are overrated.
