My new job only gives me 10 days of vaca and I'm getting married in July and have 2 weddings to travel to, so will just plan on going to the beach as much as possible.
Didn't you work in Cleveland prior (accounting) or am I getting you confused with someone else?

Yep, you're right. I worked a pdubs until the end of March, then got out. 5 years in the Big 4 was more than enough.

Nice! Are you staying public or going industry? I actually like public being younger, may change in a few years, though. I was going to say it's interesting to see you quit during busy season, but I'm pretty sure you were in Audit and their's ends a little early.

Yea I was in audit. Stayed for main busy season and then said see ya. Audit is way worse than tax it seems. I went industry n do basically same thing (SOX). 8-5, get paid more, and get to love on the coast. 0 regrets. That said, it def made my resume competitive. I'm also 28 and getting married, so working so many hours wasn't gonna work.

We're still on a 9/80 schedule (80 hours over 9 days, every other Friday off), so Memorial Day week will get me the entire week off with only 3 vacation days. Not sure what to do that week yet but I won't be at work.

September we're taking a cruise. We did it last year for our honeymoon, but we decided to do one more "good" vacation as we are figuring to have a child in the way of anything of that sort come next year (haven't acted on said plan yet, but it's likely coming)

Sounds like my wife has to be in San Diego for work (full work week). Plan on flying out there with our 14 month old that week. So vacation for me....not so much for her. It is nice that our anniversary is that week so we can grab a nice dinner.

Booked a trip to Vegas for the opening weekend of the NFL season should make for some fun betting. Just realized I'm flying out the day of the osu virginia tech game so I'll probably be in the sport book for that as well

I've just been on a spur of the moment road trip...took a couple guys to a summer job in Alabama and having a player at a pro tryout in Ohio.

Here's how it goes: Kansas-Oklahoma-Arkansas-Tennessee-Mississippi-Alabama (stay the night)-Tennessee-Kentucky (stay two nights)-Ohio (stay four nights)-Indiana-Illinois-Missouri-Kansas.

So, 12 different states in 7 days. I'll get back home for one night then leave for Denver recruiting for the weekend. A lot of hours on the road and even more miles. Been a real good time though.

Just planned a quick 4 day trip to Kauia, 1 June before we are off the island for good.
Looking forward to being in Ohio for a bit before moving to Texas.

I might have to go somewhere once my probationary period is over at work.

Probably get pretty fancy and go to Indiana.

With all the weddings we have this summer, we'll prolly just go to Hocking Hills for a few days (which is fine by me!)
