Pitching is going to kill the Tribe this year. its not going to be consistent at all.

I've been throwing up for the past two days and was diagnosed with the stomach flu and vertigo. However, I just turned the game on and we have gone from 5-3 to 5-4. Lets see if I can bring them some magic

I don't want to overreact to the early season, but going back to last year...is it time to start thinking about Swisher down in the order? Not sure we have a great 2 hole hitter, but he has been bad for over a year now. He hit 6th in NY and I think Oakland, maybe we should follow their lead?

He had a big hit tonight but until he becomes more consistent there no way I'd have him up where he's at. He's the most frustrating player in the line up to me. UNtil Bourne comes back, if Asdrubal is going to lead off, I'd have Brantley in the 2 hole...no matter who is pitching.

I can't wait for bourn or Giambi to be healthy, if for no other reason than for Johnson to be sent to Columbus!

Anyone else ready to see the Carlos Carrasco experience end?

They were putting an awful lot of eggs in his basket this off-season and he is just killing the team.

Posted on 3/20 on the off season thread....
Carlos Carrasco...(the last 'baseball' in the Cliff Lee for a bucket of baseballs trade with the Phillies) probably pitched himself out of the competition for the 5th spot in the rotation and into the bullpen last nite...getting shelled for 8 runs in 2 innings. Carrasco is out of options, so it is a virtual lock for him to 'make the team'. Josh Tomlin and Aaron Harang are the other competitors, and have been pitching very well. Tomlin has 3 options left...Harang has a minor league contract.
posted 3/23....
Aaron Harang was let go today...as the competition for the final rotation spot is down to 3.....Carlos Carrasco, Josh Tomlin, and Trevor Bauer.
posted 3/27...
Carlos Carrasco 'won' the last spot in the rotation (mainly due to the fact that he was out of options and Tomlin had 3 left). Aaron Harang who was let go the other day has signed with the pitching depleted Atlanta Braves....whe will probably be the #3 guy in their rotation. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't keep Harang, who pitched well this spring. They could have kept him as the #5 starter, started Carrasco initially in the pen, and optioned Tomlin down to AAA. You need maybe 8 or 9 starters over the course of a season, and it's never a bad idea to stockpile pitching.
Well you know how I feel about this. Stupid dumb fuc*s

Murphy tied it with a home run, Masterson promptly gives it back. That was a meatball.

Im ready for Lindor. A year of Asdrubal was enough. Every game now is just another game wasted as far as Im concerned.

Same here.

Sadly with the Dolan's/Antonetti "team control" takes precedent over winning so we likely won't see Lindor until next June at the earliest.

They would rather watch Asdrubal hit .200 all year than start the clock on Lindor even if it would make us a better team.
