Baseball needs to speed up the games. This game tonight is going to take 3 and a half hours at least

Main reason why I think soccer is quickly overtaking it.

Younger people want fast paced. Soccer matches are under 2 hours, with the only break for halftime.

Youngsters prefer playing it because it's nonstop for the most part. You have to be pretty good with kids to keep a kid who gets stuck in the OF to come back and play the next year. Soccer doesn't have the obvious fear either like getting drilled by a pitch from a kid who is learning to pitch

I mean more as a spectator sport.

And also, lets face it, soccer is not a very difficult sport to actually play. In its most basic form, soccer is easier to play than baseball. Easier to run and kick a ball than it is to hit or pitch or even field.

In our area youth soccer is huge but our league there is only one boys soccer and I believe one girls soccer program.

Yeah unless it's football no one wants to watch a 3.5 hour game every night. Hell the only reason I watch almost every Tigers game is because of DVR, takes me only about 90 minutes fast forwarding to each pitch. It wouldn't be so bad if runs weren't down but nobody hardly scores anymore

I watch the Tribe, but its not sit down and nobody better fucking talk to me until this is over.

I usually make and eat dinner, shower and do some other busy work during the games. Golf is the only other sport I do that with.

DVR makes sports tolerable. Unless I'm on here during a game, most games I DVR and the phone gets put away. Nothing is worse than a text that ruins a game you're watching on delay.

Trying to find the "Like" button.

I DVR a ton and someone is always ruining it. Every effing person has a smart phone or a means to find a score....quit announcing in public and stuff.
