The online ticket outlets started selling tickets little over two weeks ago.
This is beyond the scheduled sales by Navy and Navy is still holding most of the tickets.

The cheapest tickets were for $85 . . . but those are all gone.
The current range goes

- from $102 (only a few left)

- to $988
- most in the $125-175 range and appear to be end zone tickets.

The Ohio State Alumni Association is selling a 4 day / 3 night tour for $859 per ticket.
The first game of 2014 . . .

Buckeye fans are buying now and will be buying everything Navy makes available and/or doesn't sell.

NAAA will be under pressure to release more tickets

as soon as the Navy fans have had their chance to order.

Check the Navy ticket office schedule for the Navy sales.
My guess is that very few will still be left on 10 June

when Navy releases the balance to the general public.

IF I'm back in Ohio, I'm driving to Baltimore for this game. For sure. Have a hookup with a friend who has a suite at the stadium.

It would be sad if that wasn't the case.

True. Ohio State dominated Navy by a combined score of 62 - 55 in their last 2 meetings. Yet another reason why the college football world thinks Ohio State's the real deal.

I like how you say" last 2" but one of those was over 30 years ago, lol

Those games are super relevant to how the 2014 Buckeyes will fare.

Ohio State did not dominate Navy in the last meeting. In the closing minutes of the game in 2009 Navy was attempting a 2 point conversion to tie when Brian Rolle intercepted the pass and returned it for 2 points for the Buckeyes. The final score was 31-27 Buckeyes. I think the Ohio State was ranked 6th in the country at the time.

This sucks. Will's condition has consumed the entire Yard over the past 3 days.

Will McKamey Passes Away at Baltimore Shock Trauma McKamey was a freshman slot back from Knoxville, Tenn.

March 25, 2014

Midshipman Fourth Class (freshman) Will McKamey, 19, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away while in a coma Tuesday at Baltimore Shock Trauma.

The death comes three days after Midshipman McKamey collapsed during football practice on Saturday morning. Since then, his family has been at his bedside and they have been overwhelmed with support from classmates, teammates, coaching staff and Naval Academy leadership.

“We are all so very heartbroken by the death of Midshipman Will McKamey,” said Naval Academy Superintendent VADM Mike Miller. “This is devastating news for his family, his classmates, his teammates and the entire Naval Academy family. We offer our deepest condolences to Will's family, friends and shipmates in the wake of this tragedy.”

Midn McKamey was an Oceanography major in 3rd Company, and he was member of the varsity football team.

“During this most difficult of times, first and foremost, our prayers and thoughts turn to Randy, Kara and their beautiful family,” said Ken Niumatalolo, USNA Head Football Coach. “Our deepest and most sincere condolences go out to their entire family and friends. As our Navy football family mourns the loss of one of our brothers, we also celebrate and honor his life. He loved his family, his friends and his teammates. The Brotherhood loves you! Keep the ball "high and tight" in Heaven.”

Funeral arrangements are pending, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.

The Naval Academy will continue to support Will’s family, friends, and loved ones during this time of grief.

Grief counseling services and support are available to midshipmen, faculty and staff through chains of command, our chaplains, and the Midshipmen Development Center.

Yes. They know but won't release it publicly.

You can take a guess form his history.

He was hospitalized with a brain injury in 2012 after suffering ruptured blood vessels during a high school game. He was later cleared to begin playing the game again by by multiple neurologists.

At first I was thinking lawsuit, but I think he was cleared by 3-4 diff experts to play again.

This is a statement form the family prior to his death.
To the thousands of you out there worrying and praying...we send our most sincere thanks! Today Will's condition is very much the same as yesterday. We are counting this as a blessing due to the fact that the brain is very slow in the healing process. We are in for a long road. Please understand that "no change" is still expected and seen as a blessing at this point. We are taking it day at a time. I will be working on a caring bridge site to help keep everyone informed as much as possible.

One thing I want you all to know is that Will did not sustain a bad hit or unusual or extreme contact in practice Saturday. The Navy coaches have poured through the films of practice and seen nothing more than Will carrying the football normally, doing what he truly loves. Since his prior accident in 2012 Will has been seen by four different neurosurgeons, and had 4-6 CAT scans and MRI's to rule out any issue and clear him for contact. After his prior incident he went without any contact for over nine months to just be safe. We feel obviously there is more going on in his brain than we could have ever detected. I want to be clear that the Navy football program nor us as his parents would have ever allowed him to be in a dangerous situation. We don't know why this happened, we can only have faith that God's plan is the perfect plan and only He can be the ultimate healer and source of comfort for all of us during this time!

Please continue to pray for our son, please know we are still overcome and amazed at the power William Dean McKamey has over our world through the hands of God!

lol I have a hunch I've followed Ohio State football longer than you've been alive.

I've followed them long enough to realize that I can set my watch to an annual choke of epic proportion each and every season usually to an average B1G school like Purdue mid-season, or to a lesser talent team in a nationally televised B1G championship game, or - worse - to a team like Clemson in a high-profile BCS-level contest.

If being truthful about Ohio State makes me not a Buckeye fan, just give yourself another couple of decades of non-stop disappointment and you too shall fall from grace. ;)

If a 12-13 year period that includes three national championship game appearances and one national championship victory counts as "non-stop disappointment", you must be the sort of miserable person who looks at everything from a "glass half empty" viewpoint.
