The last time we saw Michigan, they were getting their asses kicked by Kansas State in the final rendition of something called the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. (It was Kansas State's first bowl win in 11 years.) But, hey! There's a lot of things to like about Michigan this year, right? Devin Gardner is back, their offensive line (as well as their offense) can't be worse, they hired a man replaced by Lane Kiffin, and.... that's about it.
Ohioan Desmond Howard, however, is higher on his alma mater than most. In a preseason poll, Howard says Michigan is currently America's sixth best team:

In Desmond's world, Michigan State checks in at No. 10 and (pre-Braxton injury) Ohio State at No. 11.
Preseason polls are a special kind of worthless, but Desmond Howard's work standing out in heaping pile of preseason shit-polls is remarkable.
There would be no bigger indictment against American collegiate football than Michigan being the sixth best team in the country.

I applaud it. Preseason polls are utterly meaningless, so might as well just fuck around with them.Automatik;1646395 wrote:Desmond Howard is a fucking troll.

I would say at all MAC schools. Like you don't have the whole day to do whatever like it is on Saturdays, and there's something about Saturdays as well. Just like how HS football needs to be on Fridays onlySportsAndLady;1646485 wrote:Maybe at bowling green

Ummm, OU would be playing a Tuesday and we would be hammered. So, yeah, sober on a Tuesday must be a bowling green thing.Classyposter58;1646527 wrote:I would say at all MAC schools. Yeah, sober on a Tuesday? That pretty much disqualifies BG from being remotely cool in any way.SportsAndLady;1646558 wrote:Ummm, OU would be playing a Tuesday and we would be hammered. So, yeah, sober on a Tuesday must be a bowling green thing.

I get what you are saying classy. The weeknight games can suck for alot of people wanting to travel to the game and contrary to what people want to think..there are many students who are very responsible with their work and classes that doing alot of tailgating, partying just isnt something they are wanting to do on a weeknight.Classyposter58;1646408 wrote:Except when you live on campus and actually want to attend games and tailgate

So, you're saying a school like BG has a lot more nerds per capita than a good school?thavoice;1646642 wrote:I get what you are saying classy. I would imagine at BG there is about the same % of nerds who wont go out and party on a weeknight than most other schools.Heretic;1646689 wrote:So, you're saying a school like BG has a lot more nerds per capita than a good school?

Why not? The world needs more creative, gonzo-style education, as opposed to this canned "by-the-books" stuff.Classyposter58;1646699 wrote:Ha I hope you're being sarcastic. I mean I can't always be drunk especially when I'm making lesson plans lol

I already am pretty creative. Did one thing for WWI where I had them line up the desks like trenches and gave em nerf balls to throw. When I blew the whistle they slid over the desk and tried to make it to the other trench alive, worked pretty well and showed how impossible it wasHeretic;1646724 wrote:Why not?
