Nebrasks will owe Pelini $7.65 million, with a payout of $150,000 a month over 51 months. Assistants all had contracts through January of 2016.

Max Olson ‏@max_olson 58m58 minutes ago Bo Pelini went 26-25 against opponents that finished with winning records. 40-2 against .500 or worse.

While the media will continue to bring up "9 wins every year" this is the real reason. He beat everyone he should and either lost (or was BLOWN OUT) by ranked teams.

Pelini is the epitome of mediocre. Never thought of them as a legitimate threat to win the B1G despite whatever their records were.

They bring up 9 wins every year but ignore 4 losses every year.

Surprised Nebraska gets any love on either poll. Guessing Utah, USC and LSU would be above them keeping them from any top 25.

Sounds like Schiano might have another shot at the B1G. Turned down Penn State and bolted Rutgers before they joined.
