Just continues to blow my mind how many hours a week coaches of all levels spend and they can't manage the clock in these situations.ptown_trojans_1;1679812 wrote:Boy that was dumb by Auburn, just burning the clock with a loss of seconds before the half.

But the small number of teams that get into the play-offs in college football no doubt makes the regular season the best in any sport.Azubuike24;1679805 wrote:Might end up being good for the sport. In the end, I think we all want more than 4 teams. I'd also like to see the inclusion of more potential non-power 5 schools if they have a great season. That is what makes college basketball's post-season the best in any sport.

I don't think 8 would make the regular season any less quality. Sure, a team could "possibly" lose twice...but in some years, 1 loss would do it. What it would do is create some more important OOC games getting scheduled because it would be pretty good odds that those final few spots would come down to overall win quality and SOS. The same arguments we're hearing now on while Baylor is still 7th.

Blake Sims sucks tonight too. Does Saban have the balls to go to Coker with such pressure to win?

No way this is the best team in the country. They will probably lose this game, win the sec title game and still get in.

If 3 of the other top 5 fall next weekend, most likely.robj55;1679824 wrote:No way this is the best team in the country. They will probably lose this game, win the sec title game and still get in.

Say OSU, Oregon and Baylor lose next weekend. Who is the Final Four?ccrunner609;1679826 wrote:there is no way they get in with 2 losses.
1. Florida State
2. TCU
3. ???
4. ???
Would be quite the controversy.

There's not a team in the country that I would definitively say would beat OSU, no one stands out.

I cannot believe how dominant Auburn looks tonight. Bama still has no clue how to stop this offense

It makes you wonder how they lost to A&M at home. A&M's defense was so pitiful at points this year.Classyposter58;1679834 wrote:I cannot believe how dominant Auburn looks tonight. Bama still has no clue how to stop this offense

That's either incomplete or an Alabama interception. There's no way they can give Bray the reception. Crazy play. Could go 3-ways...

That should be a catch, tied possession goes to the offense, and he had it with his feet in bounds.

I thought it should've been ruled incomplete, because possession wasn't established until they were rolling on the ground. Oh well.

That's one of those ones where there's not enough to overturn the initial call either way

No tie goes to the offense always. Doesn't matter if the defender has more control of it, if the receiver gets even one arm around it the play is a catchAzubuike24;1679841 wrote:That's either incomplete or an Alabama interception.
