Turned out to be a little more than ten days, but I uprooted the garlic, and hung them today. Solid stuff. Just over 100 fists, with a dozen of the largest of the group hanging separately in order to be used for planting in November. I will use others, but those are the guaranteed cloves.

Habanero peppers never came in. Booooo!!! Jalapeños are big, but not spicy at all. Pretty disappointed. Tomatoes are green. Three plants - really only two thanks to FWK's crazy wabbit - and only four tomatoes.

My asparagus is AWESOME!!! Granted, I can't harvest any this year, but still, it is growing well.

Ate a nice head of broccoli yesterday.

Peppers, cilantro and lettuce continue to do well. Tomatoes and cabbage starting to make a move. Corn is questionable. Zucchini and squash not doing well.

Snow peas gone crazy, radish, kohlrabi, beets, lettuces, kale doing great, all my spices are wonderful. Peppers, beans, cucumber looks to be a bumper crop, Yellow small tomatoes producing, other tomatoes doing OK same for the zucchini. (need bees) Onions should be good this year and the broccoli coming along nicely also. My experimental plant Artichoke is growing like a weed, looks good. Corn, cabbage, and cauliflower destroyed by deer… those are on a lower level of my garden …

I have so much cucumber and lettuce I can't give it away fast enough. Green/red peppers started out good but for some reason have slowed down. Onions will good, green onions have been doing well. Squash looks like it will be good. And I'll have enough tomatoes to feed a small town.

Never really grew. What peppers did come on were very small and very few.

That sthucksth. And it is doubly bad if you've ever had strong plants with a good yield.

I looked forward to my habaneros thanks to a few years of great plants. Nothing at all this year.

On the other hand, my blackberry bushes are growing very nicely, and I was even able to have a handful of brrries this morning. They are the best when the morning has cooled the berries a bit. Dee-lish.

Everything is coming on good. Peppers not as hot as years past but still good, well at least the ones that were left after what the deer ate. Bastards. Tomatoes are big this year compared to last year. I have a way to much garlic I will be taking some to the farmers market.

Any of you five star cooks have a good salsa recipes? I make some spicy and regular that is good but I want to try and make some corn and black bean salsa. So thought I would see if any of you have a good recipe.

I figured out I don't like growing food. Just don't have the space for it right now. My flowers however are kicking ass. The impatiens, roses, marigolds, and petunias (which I think I could be planted in a pile of rocks and they'd still grow) are all doing well.

I think it just helps keep it from spreading though. Not so much kill what is there. Right?

Honestly Im not sure never had to deal with it but for some reason I think you are right. It just prevents it from spreading. I will look into it later and see what I can find.

1 gallon water .. Let it sit out side for a few hours
1 table spoon baking soda
1 or 2 drops of dish soap

mix and spray on plant... And on infected leaves a few times front and back side

you may have to do this every other 2 or 3 days to stop the spread and kill what there.

I tried some of the copper spray last night. Cut quite a few squash leaves on it. I should have addressed it when I first saw it, but didn't. Now I'm paying for it.

Finished up the garden this morning. Went with a smaller garden this year and it was nice to have some extra free time. I will be planting my garlic in a few weeks and will not plant as many as I did last year.

How did your gardens do?

Ive been pull up some so of the plants up to burn, bring so ashes down from the fire place to spread in the garden later, have a few bags of manure also to spread out later .... Closing out the garden slowly...

it was an ok year not one of my best years but still good. Going to work on the soil this year.

I pulled my garlic. It is awesome!

My asparagus has gone to fern and is about 5' tall. I will most likely cut it down at the same time I plant my garlic.

Habenaros are still green. I have about 5 on the vine. Terrible year for habs. And again, my jalapenos were crap. Not one bit of spice to them. Boooooooo!!!

Not enought summer heat for hot pepers.. More summer heat the hotter the peppers..
