If both teams are competing in the same conditions, aren't things still even?

No. Teams are built certain ways. Controlled conditions allow each team to play to their strengths, and see which team is better at what they do.

What if one team is built for domes and one team is built for blizzards?

The solution is clearly artificial weather.

1st quarter-Blizzard
2nd quarter- Cold
3rd quarter- Rain
4th quarter 75 and sunny.

I prefer my teams to be built for volcanoes and earthquakes. If they're also prepared for a major duststorm, that would be clutch too.

Really, this is a serious consideration. Isn't it an advantage to a team that does better in controlled-weather domes to play the SB in one? Honestly I think the weather thing is overblown. Sure, it could play to one's teams strength, but so can perfect conditions. A good team will overcome and be good in any condition.

that is just fucking stupid.

Certain teams may have a style that is better suited to play in a snowstorm, such as power running teams, but no team is built for blizzards!

Dont get me wrong, i Love watching games in the snow, very entertaining.
I do know this..if I played for or was a fan of a team with such a great passing attack like Denver and I got the super bowl, and the offense was pretty much grounded because of it I would be pissed.

But anyways....

Your team built an offense that only works in perfect weather. Sounds like a flaw in the offense to me.

Doesnt have to be perfect, just not shitty!!!!

Think the early forecast was in the 20's with 35% chance of snow, but it is still too far out.

I will tell you this..i bet if it snows like crazy it is the most watched fo sho

What if it's a monsoon in Miami? You know, it is Miami. It rains Baiscally every damn day of the year in Miami. Still pissed? Or it's ok because it was warm out?

Winter is usually dry, not too many monsoons in Jan/Feb.
Also, every player has played in the rain ever since they were in JH, not everyone has played in alot of snow.

Just saying in the biggest game I want to see who the best team is without the weather playing a factor. Kinda like how now HS has all playoff games on turf after week one because that is a more level playing field than playing on grass. Some of those week 12/13 games were in awful field conditions and benefited power teams.

It's not to level the playing field. It's because the fields are TERRIBLE at that point in the year. This is a professional stadium with millions of dollars that gets spent on the field.

I Know...bad example.

But I do remember back in those days and so many complaints how the terrible fields hurt speed/passing teams and favored the power running attacks.

I see the NFL has options in place and that includes moving it to monday if need be. That would be anticlimatic.

What about moving it to a saturday? I know alot of people would like that, msyelf included, but from what I have read the NFL is against it as they want to squeeze every ounce out of the actual SB festivities that weekend,

I would prefer a Saturday game as well.

And speed can still be speed in muddy terrain. Correct cleats and correct form.

Haha you dumb bro? The point of championships are usually to see the best team win, not to see who can run the Power I best in a blizzard. This isn't the Winter Classic, it's the fuckin Super Bowl

Both teams are playing in the same conditions. This isn't the 1970's where one team throws the ball 35 times and the other runs it 35 times. Both teams are capable of playing to their opponent's schemes regardless of the weather conditions.

Oh and both teams are playing in the exact conditions, so it doesn't benefit either team.

I'll answer your question with a rhetorical one of my own: Haha are YOU dumb bro?

I see it as just another thing for people to bitch about.

The snow already came. If the predictions are right, chance of snow is minimal. Regardless, you know the crew will have the field in top notch conditions.

So barring any precipitation, the teams will have to deal with low to mid 30 temps. OMG!! The horror!!

It's still 10 days out. Not saying the predictions won't hold, but that is a LONG time for weather to stay the same.

But I agree 100% on everything else. God forbid these professional football players play in some cold weather.

You are only the best if conditions are right though. That sounds dumb.

Also, where do you draw the line? If the goal is to see the absolute best in perfect weather, why not require all NFL stadiums to be domes? Because, after all, the best team might not win in a playoff at Green Bay. Or they may miss the playoffs entirely if they have too many weather games during the season.
