Tough stretch for crew. 2 games in 4 days on opposite coasts.

Montreal leads Costa Rican club Alajuelense at half 1-0 in the CONCACAF Champions League semi. Hell of a run for the Impact!

Montreal advances on aggregate. Game got extremely chippy and was pretty darn exciting but Impact advance to CCL final.

Good lord, how could a field get to be in this bad of shape. Just horrendous conditions to be playing a game like this on.

Ha I was thinking before the game the only way they could play is if they rolled out a bunch of sod and that was exactly it. Might have been better to just use turf honestlyLaley23;1721897 wrote:Good lord, how could a field get to be in this bad of shape. Just horrendous conditions to be playing a game like this on.

They showed some poll that said almost the entire state of Texas was rooting for mexico. I'd say the crowd was probably more like 70/30 Mexicans.Mulva;1721939 wrote:o/u 50% Mexican?

Holy cow we were there last night and the energy in that arena was insane. It was probably 70/30 Mexican fans but the USA fans were loud! The Mexican fans around us though were very nice we had no issues and absolutely enjoyed the game. A huge fight broke out about 10 rows up from us as the game ended so there was some extra free entertainment there as well. It was my first time seeing the national team. I'll also be going to the Gold Cup game in Dallas in July.

Was at the FC Dallas/Toronto MLS game last night a few records were set:
Records set last night:
Fastest goal in FCD history
Most delays in MLS history
Longest game in MLS history
Latest halftime and end in MLS history
During the three-hour delay we ended up at a pub outside drinking and eating crawfish and went back in for the start of the second half about midnight it was crazy!

Until soccer has an independent Dr or trainer check on concussions this will continue to happen. He was knocked out.

One of my favorite discussion topics. Love coming up with hypothetical American teams based on guys playing other sports.lhslep134;1727440 wrote:The guys on Grantland made a great point in one of their footnotes from yesterday's game:
