am a big fan of every move Farmer has made so far. I think I saw the Texans are planning to keep Schaub, so that should give the Browns more of a chance of getting their guy (and by guy, I mean QB) at 4, whoever that may be.

I don't think they're planning to keep Schaub, just until after May (June?) 1 so that they can split his dead money cap hit over 2 seasons.

No I'd just cry and ask you to stay off this thread and stick to a different one if it gets so bad that I need a tissue.

Report: Browns making strong push for Edelman

According to CSN New England, the Browns are making a "strong push" for free agent Julian Edelman.

The Bengals are expected to match the Browns' offer sheet to Andrew Hawkins, so Cleveland remains on the hunt for a slot receiver. They won't find a better one available than Edelman, who is coming off a 105-catch season and is also a major asset in the punt return game. Brian Hoyer's old friend would be a fine underneath complement to explosive Josh Gordon.

Who cares? Next year it will be the same shit. 4-12 after three years chud will be fired along with banner and Lombardi then we will switch back to the 4-3.

The real joke is the Browns. This thread is full of the same old shit that you guys did last year.

"this is the year guys! They're finally making changes! New quarterback will change everything!"

They'll go sub .500 and we'll have this same discussion next year.

The truth is that this year's QB class isn't great. Nobody really stands out. It puts the Browns in an awkward position. They're likely to fuck it up one way or another regardless, but they don't have a whole lot to choose from.

They might be better off rolling the dice on someone like Vick for a year and pick someone else up next year.

It is diff this time. As an outsider, you can feel the diff vibe from the new leadership, and unfortunately they are getting it right.

Finally.

Firing their coach after one year isn't "getting it right".

Nobodys said shit about this 'being our year'. It's obvious this regime is at least trying to make moves to make this a winning team. Will that happen? Who knows. But we sure as hell have reason to be hopeful with the changes that have been made. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

By firing a first year coach and hiring some nobody from the Bills? OK.

We're going to be having this same "rebuilding" talk next year.

If you just bought a team, and weren't happy with the coach, you would keep him?

Hawkins signed the offer sheet from Cleveland, bengals have 5 days to match.
