He'll be out of the league in 3 years. I said the same about Weeden and the same about Quinn.thavoice;1615921 wrote:So everyone has seen the supposed leaked Patriots scouting report on Johnny Manziel by now. Apparently, he's spoiled, walks away from coaches, gets allowance from Gramps (still), believes in partiality when it comes to knowing the playbook and has some jealous teammates. Wonder if it said "still 200 times better than Brandon Weeden" on there.
Interesting. I find the playbook think interesting, and believable to a point. He makes so many plays with his feet that I wouldnt doubt he didnt have a full grasp of the playbook of maybe what every receiver is doing on each play. Maybe he knew what 1 and 2 were doing and then would just say fuck it and scramble it around.
That dog wont hunt in the NFL where you have to know what all 4/5 receivers are doing and anticipate those throws.

Does that apply to current players who tested positive lol?Dr. KnOiTaLL;1615930 wrote:ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the NFL is expected to revamp its marijuana policy in the league's new drug agreement, instituting a higher threshold for positive tests and lessening the penalties.

It's unclear how much the penalties will be lessened, but at the very least, it means players will no longer be subject to a four-game ban for a first-time offense. Per Graziano, only haggling over the arbitration process is delaying the new drug agreement. The move comes too late for Josh Gordon, but it appears marijuana will no longer be treated as a more serious offense than issues like drunk driving and assault.like_that;1615933 wrote:Does that apply to current players who tested positive lol?

They might apply it to Josh Gordon as well, but that just seems too logical.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1615936 wrote:It's unclear how much the penalties will be lessened, but at the very least, it means players will no longer be subject to a four-game ban for a first-time offense. Looks like Browns are banning National Media from the Browns Rookie camp. Good move if you ask me, definitely don't need another Tebow circus.

That's bologna. And Haslam is an idiot in proclaiming Hoyer as the starter. Based on what exactly? 2 games? Why is Hoyer annointed the starter? What did he, as an undrafted player do to "win" the starting job? What happened to open competition?HighRoller74;1615947 wrote:Looks like Browns are banning National Media from the Browns Rookie camp. In the same breath he speaks of Gordon as " a young person" making young person mistakes. Haslam needs to get his frickin priorities straight. Criticizing Manziel for being Manziel...but cutting Gordon slack for testing drug positive.

In all seriousness, I see Manziel starting week 1. Kyle Shannon adapted his offense to fit RGIII and I see him doing the same thing for Manziel and I see JFF having smiliar success. I mean I support Hoyer all the way and yes I love the way the offense ran the two weeks he played, But JFF will beat him out. JMHO

5 total failed tests lol
I think they alter the policy and he ends up sitting 3-4 games.

RGIII was a much more polished passer than Manziel. RGIII used his scrambling ability as a secondary weapon, it's Manziel's primary weapon. It will be interesting to see what ends up happening, but I think Hoyer starts unless he has a setback with injury.shook_17;1616019 wrote:In all seriousness, I see Manziel starting week 1. 1. I am glad the Redskins turned down that deal.
2. I am even more glad the Browns didn't up it to a 2nd rounder as was suggested. I would have probably thrown something at the wall if we gave up a 2nd rounder for Cousins.

Yeah.
I know. He shoulda got something out of it.
I do think though that it was an accident. He was watching the return on the big screen and was too close. I know most dont believe, still does not mean he did not deserve some punishment though.

It's unsurprising that along with spelling and mathematics, you also struggle with reading comprehension:Footwedge;1616004 wrote:What happened to open competition?
Part of Haslem's quote was: "They’ll compete. If Johnny wins the job, fine. If not, Brian will be the quarterback."
from https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/browns-owner-says-johnny-manziel-is-a-backup-quarterback-right-now-150831725.html
The open competition you seek was explicitly mentioned but it went way over your head (SHOCKER)
