LOL.. Middle of the first round? You, Kiper and Jaws....all effin dolts. You wanna win? Or do you revel in Cleveland sports misery? Which is it?Dr. KnOiTaLL;1606795 wrote:Lol... you keep using "people in the know," and yet everything I've read says that "people in the know" are saying that Johnny Football is going to fall on draft day. The Texans are taking Clowney. That's as close to a done deal as there is in this year's draft. I'm of the opinion that Manziel is going to fall until the late first round, although I wouldn't be surprised for a team like Minnesota or Tampa Bay to snag him trying to bring some excitement to their organization.

Change JFF for Weeden, and this was pretty much the same thing you said 2 years ago. LOLFAIL. Not 100% sure, but I feel like I recall FW jerking off to the thought of Weeden throwing for the Browns too. If Farmer ever reads this site, hopefully he knows to do the exactly opposite of whatever FW and Iggy say.IggyPride00;1606260 wrote:Kiper's new mock draft has the Browns taking Johnny Football at 4.
It will be pandemonium in this city if Johnny Football is this team's new signal caller this fall.
Kiper just said it on ESPN that not since Bernie has this team had any kind of identity at the position, and bringing in Johhny Football would bring an excitement level to Sundays that an entire generation of Browns fans has never seen.
Draft a WR at 26 and then watch this offense explode in September. We would honestly go from the most boring to one of the most exciting teams in the NFL overnight. We would probably even get on national TV a few times because of the presence of Johnny Football. ESPN would have the trucks outside of Berea all summer.
Just imagine how electric it would be at First Energy Stadium (pun intended) with the Browns playing a nationally televised night game the first time Johnny Football improvises on a broken play and hits Gordon in stride down field for a TD.
I am just hoping Farmer doesn't try and outsmart himself by even considering taking Carr if John Football is on the board. It would be a mutiny in this city, and I would happily take part in it.

If you're putting me in the same company as Kiper and Jaws, I'm pretty happy with that. Kiper has been one of the more accurate analysts for years, and Jaws is known for being the QB guru. I would say that's pretty good company. These dual threat quarterbacks have kind of come and gone in the NFL. The only one that still shows somewhat consistent effectiveness is Newton, and that's because his body is built like Anquan Boldin. Feel free to leave the wool over your eyes...Footwedge;1607150 wrote:LOL.. Middle of the first round? You, Kiper and Jaws....all effin dolts. You wanna win? Mow I know that you don't follow sports very closely. Kiper has shown absolutely no ability to analyze players. The Animal House guys laugh their asses off on his record. For example, where did Kiper's "#1 overall pick" Jake Locker go???
As for Jaworski, he's usually solid. But he's been caught lying...on tape...regarding his assessment of Manziel. A few short months ago he said that he wouldn't draft Manziel in the first 3 rounds. Now, most draft experts agree that J Football is the second coming. So as to not completely ruin his credibility, he now claims he only viewed 2 game tapes. Nice try Jaws.

Nope...wrong guy. So...having 2 all pro receivers doesn't equate to titles, right Slick? I know you're impossible to reason with, so I'm not going to try. However, mock drafts in general are pretty inaccurate. Yes, Kiper has missed some big picks and had some complete bombs. He also happens to be one of the more consistently accurate analysts (not that it means much because they all miss well over 50%).

It's been 20 plus years since the Browns got the draft right. If they think like you do, then they will blow it once again.

Pick6 needs to know that TP was trades to Seattle for a seventh round draft choice. He should be catching footballs, not throwing them...especially in the red zone...unstoppable. But back go Johnny Willie Manning Hayes (throws like Manning, runs like Hayes)...he's going to the Texans. Do they really want Ryan Fitzpatrick running that team? No brainer.

Not to mention, pick6 wasn't even wrong in his prediction, fw was. Failwedge said Pryor would be catching balls in the nfl, well..he started basically an entire year at QB then the Super Bowl champions felt he was good enough to throw a draft pick at Oakland for him. Failwedge strikes again.jmog;1607832 wrote:Did you just call out someone else for their predictions being wrong?

It is a complete waste to devote much time to what the "experts" say and to all the mock drafts. People waste so much time debating it, researching players, etc. Best is just to tune in on draft day, or better yet, that evening to catch the updates.Footwedge;1607313 wrote:Mow I know that you don't follow sports very closely. Sort of like recruiting of HS kids and such. People get so fired up and follow every word of so called "experts" and debate it until the cows come home and there really is no point to it.
with that said....the Browns will draft Keith Wenning @ #4

In order to get er done.
#4 and a third round draft pick to Houston. Number 26, 35, and a second round pick from next year to St Louis. Manziel and Sammy to the Browns. When's the last time an NFL had 7 pro bowlers on the offense>

I'm more ready for the draft so FW can shut the fuck up and we can get back to having legitimate discussion on the browns.

If anyone is interested in pretty detailed draft guide for $5, click the link below. I'm not sure if there are any solicitation rules on the site, but my buddy writes for cbs (their mock drafts and various articles) and put together this 125 page guide. http://www.myfootballnews.com/product/2014-Guide
