You dont see the issue with that type of Super Super team? In the already embarrassment of a conference that the East is? It wouldnt even be fun to watch more than a few games. Itd be pathetic, IMO. Unless you happen to be a fan of the heat, which im sure thered be even MORE of if this happened.
And no its not like the Yankees just buyin all the best players....its all the best players workin the system to play with eachother instead of tryin to build up their individual teams to battle eachother like it used to be. And as far as all time great teams......aside from having a dominant Center thats quite possibly the best group of 4 players to ever be on a team at one point in time. (I mean when theyre stll good too, not when you have aging players chasing titles and joining forces or what not)

I worded that wrongly, I do see the issue with it, but I also commend players for being unselfish and putting winning above all. Can't believe Kobe Bryant took 30 mil.

The NBA's all time great teams have never been built like this, though. Typically, they're built through the draft and free agency/trades. Not a bunch of star players getting together and deciding where to join forces then trying to recruit more. Who even gives a fuck if they sacrifice a little bit of money at this point. LOL. People always seem to forget Lebron was part of a sign and trade thus getting a max deal. Not only that, but there is no income tax in Florida. Not to mention the endorsement deals you get for being on such a team. True, I'm sure in the end they ended up getting all the money they want, it's more or less just props to Pat Riley for making it work and building a solid team around the key players with limited cash flexibility.like_that;1625357 wrote:LOL. Some of Miami's role players are going to have to play well for them to win, Lebron is shooting 60% from the field and 70% from the 3 in this series, have a feeling he may have an off night shooting the jumper, he's due.

I don't think I'll ever accept the notion of a bunch of star players who've seemed to have peaked, so they go out and recruit another star player. The East is, has, and will continue to be a pile of shit with them being penciled into the ECF and probably the finals every year.

I'm not arguing that all of the great dynasties were full of star players. But they did through drafting, player development, and the occasional trade/free agent acquisition. The Gasol trade you cited is the exception and what the casual fan was outraged over before "The Decision." Like you said, the game is changing, and IMO for the worst. I'm sure you could bring up statistics with ratings that prove it's still just as watchable, but Idk how it's good when most of the eastern playoffs were pointless.
You could make the point that if Melo goes to the Heat, the east gets worse. The semi-competitive Knicks would turn into shit, and a team like the Bulls who really could use a major free agent to stay competitive would lose out. Plus, if you're a free agent out west, why would you come to the east knowing you'd have to play the Heat in the ECF?

I'm actually calling BS on the whole idea of Melo to the Heat.
I don't see why he would want that, and the same for the Miami organization. I'd like to see him to go to Chicago, maybe the Clips. To be honest, I don't even give a fuck, I don't like him as a player.
