If we just forget everything that has happened and take it from the point we stand today (with OSU above Baylor by a pretty slim margin), neither team can afford to have a letdown, even if that letdown still means a W in the standings.
I don't really have a dog in the fight with either team and both need help from outside places to play for a national title. However, it's a very real possibility that the debate comes to fruition if Bama or FSU loses. Right now, it's a pretty clear consensus who should be 1 and 2, but as soon as a slip-up occurs, the debate between the current 3 and 4 becomes a BIG DEAL.
Don't disagree. Just cannot agree, based on facts I have provided, that Baylor should in anyway pass OSU. Even in the AP poll. I think its a joke. OSU loses points after easily putting up 60 on someone? As I said, when Oregon was doing that, people were gushing over it. No matter who they played. OSU gets criticized.
Bama struggles to beat a 4-6(1-6 SEC) team, that was playing their 2nd team QB, had to go to 3rd team QB, and they lose 1 pt in the AP poll?
Last week everyone was gushing over Stanford, many arguing they should be above OSU. They now have 2 losses, both unranked.
On top of that, I have to listen to Mark May absolutely rip OSU at half, as well as the game announcers of ESPN. The reality is, its all a bit ridiculous when this team, this program has won 22 straight. Yes, we can all admit this and that about the Big10. But in the reality of things, the ACC and Big12 are really NOT that much better, if at all.
