Rumor on OBR is that weeden's MRI on his thumb isn't good.

Now that the book is out on that teams are going to just keep lining up their best speed guy on him. It is incumbent on him to find a way to adjust, because the tandem of him and Cousins on that right side is making it impossible to do much of anything.royal_k;1501584 wrote:The biggest disappointment of the OL, and there has been a lot, has been at right tackle. Schwartz was almost unbeatable as a rookie and he can't stop any kind of a speed rush this year.
I wonder if the change in schemes has had anything to do with him suddenly seeming like a different player. Was he getting help from a fullback/TE that he isn't now? I have no idea really, just throwing things out there for those that know more than I because there has to be something going on for him to have regressed this much.

Schwartz has went againt Dumervil and Wake. Two pretty fucking good pass rushers. Cousins is a bigger concern to me. Im no expert on lineman, but isnt the RG generally one of, if not the best run blockers?
Weeden's stats arent necessarily bad, although he did throw 3 int the first game. You can just tell he doesnt have "it"

Yeah, I think it can be assumed that they'll be taking a QB pretty high in next years draft. Some frigging WR's and a RG wouldn't hurt either.

Yeah, I just don't think Weeden is going to get it...still locking on to receivers even when he does make plays. Assuming they do draft a QB high, they had better get him some help via free agency. Greg Little is just awful and the oline would even make Peyton Manning look bad.BR1986FB;1502069 wrote:Yeah, I think it can be assumed that they'll be taking a QB pretty high in next years draft. Yeah, Weeden has been a disappointment to me, so far, this year. I thought with the new system, in a second year, that the lightbulb would go on but it hasn't. I just hope they don't take frigging Manziel.wes_mantooth;1502081 wrote:Yeah, I just don't think Weeden is going to get it...still locking on to receivers even when he does make plays. His pass to Obenyayaayay says it all. That should have been nothing less than an easy TD.wes_mantooth;1502081 wrote:Yeah, I just don't think Weeden is going to get it...still locking on to receivers even when he does make plays. I agree. But, Cherry and Hooly (knr) said that if you watch Oby running, it was his fault for slowing down. My belief is that he was so open, that pass has to have some touch...who gives a shit if it doesn't hit him in stride perfectly

Oh, I def put blame on Oby as well. He just shit down his leg that he was so wide open and had a chance to be a hero, however as you said, Weeden should have put some touch on it. A slight lob and thats a TD.wes_mantooth;1502101 wrote:I agree. But, Cherry and Hooly (knr) said that if you watch Oby running, it was his fault for slowing down. Think I saw where they said the MRI was negative, and negative isnt good......Commander of Awesome;1501593 wrote:Rumor on OBR is that weeden's MRI on his thumb isn't good.
Was kind of confused. ESPN was saying that BW is out for sunday, and that Chud MAY choose between Campbell and hoyer. MAY choose?> What is is other option?

If they draft a rookie QB, they need to get some veteran receivers for him even if it means paying through the nose.BR1986FB;1502069 wrote:Yeah, I think it can be assumed that they'll be taking a QB pretty high in next years draft. Some frigging WR's and a RG wouldn't hurt either.
All of the QB's who've had early success as a rookie have had solid veteran targets to throw to.
Throwing a rookie out there again with nothing but 1st and 2nd year guys is going to be a recipe for disaster regardless of what goes on with the O-line.
Little is gone, and I don't think Gordon is long for this team unless he plays like gangbusters this year. That is going to essentially mean turning over the whole receiving corps outside of Bess/Cameron. Bringing in a load of young inexperienced guys to replace them is not going to put whoever our QB is in the best position to succeed.

Patting the fucking ball before every pass, DAing his throws (IE rifling every pass just to show how strong he is), not feeling the blitz etc.... We're in for long year AGAIN if Cousins continues to start at RG.wes_mantooth;1502081 wrote:Yeah, I just don't think Weeden is going to get it...still locking on to receivers even when he does make plays. Lol, but I'd guess there are decent warm bodies currently unattached to anyone who aren't anything special, but around the "interchangeable part" level of the average back-up quarterback.

Was said in jest to the person who said the rumor was the MRI rumor wasnt good...yet the rumor was it turned out negative...but I digress.
I think the browns have a good shot against the Vikes. I think they will take the browns lightly. Browns D is pretty solid and I think they come and surprise them.
