A protein and veggies twice a day, 5 times a week. Weekends? Pad thai and beer.

Clean, to me, would be whole foods/unprocessed crap. Fruits, vegetables, meat/fish/eggs, healthy fats, etc. I try to avoid grains (do eat white rice after weight training) & dairy so one persons' "clean" isn't necessarily anothers. I wouldn't call a bowl of Fruit Loops clean.

I cant believe I forgot all about intermittent fasting. I was into last summer some. Definitely going to get back to it.

I did the "eat stop eat" program from Nov-feb and got pretty lean. I now do it 1-2 times a week. I really like it.

Ugggh....popped a disc in my neck/upper vertebrae last night either doing squats or behind the neck presses on the Smith machine. I'm thinking it was the Smith presses since I do low bar squats. Not a pleasant feeling.

Ran again yesterday. I plan on only doing a mile per day this week, just trying to increase pace and time.

Yeah, my only problem is that I'm working now and what I have going on is going to make it hard to do the 8 hour eating window. I take lunch around noon, so lets say it starts at 12:15-12:30. I get home from work at 6:30 when I get out on time. Workout 7-8. That gives me 15-30 minutes after working out to squeeze in a meal, which is pretty much impossible. I may just have to do it on my days I dont work out.

Change the feeding window. Can you take a later lunch?

I tried the first meal at noon way back when I first started IF. I had the same issue. I now eat lunch around 2-2:30.

When I do my IF, I eat from 5:00-6:00. Sometimes it's difficult during work to not cave in but I get through it. LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER!!!!

I know this doesn't help now, but i've always been told stay away from smith machines since they can limit your natural range of motion.

Interesting. I've heard of people doing one meal, but a larger window. 23 with a one hour window seems extreme.

16 and 8 is the way to go IMO, with a 24 hr fast thrown in occasionally.

Yeah, I know but I lift alone and if I'm going to lift heavier weights, I need some kind of spotter. It feels much better now.

It doesn't, but marathon and half marathon runners do. He threw out a two hour figure as an example. Doesn't take that long to show negative effects. Butthurt is butthurt.

I know when we do HM training we get to those limits often. We usually max out at a 15 mile run for the HM training. Not a realy easy thing that is for sure.
