The part that frustrates me about this is how the media makes trayvon out to be an angel and shows pictures of trayvon as an 8-9 year old right next to George Zimmerman mug shot. Media creating bias

Typically something like this I would say that Martin and Zimmerman both got caught up in the wrong situation at the wrong time. The problem I have though is that Zimmerman has been arrested before for "playing cop" and chasing people. The guy was out looking for trouble, and I honestly hope the jury sees that.

Pretty much sums it all up. Not sure it matters to a stand-your-ground law. Don't know if he can also be charged with stalking or intimidation.

To answer your question...I believe it will be. I remember seeing commercials while I was watching the Jodi Arias verdict that said HLN would be televising the Zimmerman trial.

I could be wrong. But I thought that's what I saw.

Zimmerman is a douch IMO . No doubt about it . However according to florida law he is allowed to use leathal force if attacked and feels life is in danger . Martin beat the hell out of him and was going to take the gun away from Zimmerman and use it against him . Or atleast that was the state of Zimmermans mind IMO. Hence there is no malice.

Zimmerman engaged him. The stand your ground law, you have to be a complete innocent victim basically. He should not have put himself into the sitation at all. He should have called the cops and left. His intention was to confront Martin, just like all the other times he has been arrested for chasing people.

Stalking and intimidation are probably what Zimmerman should be charged with IMO. Not manslaughter. This case is trumped up.

I agree . However even though Zimmerman was originally wrong for stalking and confronting him he should not have had the snot beat out of him . Its a very tough case . I just wish the media didnt already convict . Thats my biggest problem .

Plus Zimmerman IS an innocent victim unless you can prove he started the fight.

And you've already decided the facts the other way. I'm not sure you can criticize the media while doing the exact same thing but taking a different point of view.

It'll be interesting to see how the evidence plays out.

I don't think so, since the people called the cops while getting chased and the cops stopped Zimmerman. Who knows what would have happened if he confronted them. I think he also had an assault on an officer, but his judge daddy got that dismissed, so it's probably not admissible

But multiple examples of people literally walking away. Again, from a perspective of reasonable doubt, this supports Travon as the one escalating/initiating the confrontation.

But you can argue that they walked away because he never caught them. They also told the cops that they "feared for their lives" with him chasing them

But now you are inviting speculation. The fact is there was no confrontation with those people, which can only support reasonable doubt that Zimmerman initiated the deadly confrontation.

If I was on the jury I would think different. I would think that he goes looking for trouble since he was chasing people, who were so scared that they had to call the cops to get him to back off.

I don't think he will get a fair shake. The defense has already not been allowed to show pictures of this kid smoking weed and showing off a gun. If Zimmerman was really retreating back to his truck to go home, and trayvon was the aggressor, then Zimmerman should be found not guilty.

I thought that the judge just ruled that it couldn't be used in opening arguments but had not ruled on whether or not it can be used during the trial. There were a bunch of things that were still awaiting ruling on whether or not they could be used, be the judged just denied them all for the opening arguments so that the trial could get moving

That's the first post in this thread you are correct on.
The first judge had to go because he was showing so much prejudice against Zimmerman. The woman judge has ruled in favor of the prosecution in every hearing so far. There was a hearing that she continued even now because she couldn't decide and witnesses were not there to testify about voice on tape. None of you can definitely say Zimmerman said 'coon' or that it was Martin screaming for help. Experts are divided in court over it but the judge is still rulling in favor of the prosecution every chance she gets. Then you have the media...and the race card...and the black community protesting...no chance in hell Zimmerman gets a fair trial.
