Rob Deer best WAR --------- (3.8)
Adam Dunn current WAR --- (-1.1)

So, no. He does not have a better WAR than Rob Deer in his prime.

By those sentiments neither does 98% of baseball. Dunn had a 4.6 one season

Evan Gattis might be giving Dom Brown a run for his money for OC home run king if he was getting enough at bats.

Pretty solid brawl in LA tonight. Puig hit in the nose, Greinke hit Monterro in retaliation, then Grienke got hit in the head by Ian Kennedy

Kirk Gibson, Matt Williams, Charles Nagy, Alan Trammell, Mark McGwire, Don Baylor, Don Mattingly, Tim Wallach, Steve Sax all mixing it up with each other. All we needed was Mickey Tettleton and Chet Lemon and we were right back in the 80s.

They were playing the Astros, so it makes sense.

He had 5 K's after 2. Which is about all I watched before I fell asleep, per the usual.

I will say this, the Astros kicked our ass the first series. They averaged like 12 hits a game. Glad we finally are taking advantage of having them in our division.

Good video! A lot of big guys pretty pissed. McGwire don't want Kirk Gibson....and mix in Don Baylor that isn't the staff you want to brawl with.

It's not a secret to the 12 people who follow Seattle and the 6 people who follow Houston.

Bottom 9, up 2-0. 1 on, 2 outs, 0-2 count...Lorenzo Cain takes Jose Valverde deep. Blowing a great start for Justin Verlander...

Always hated the rival tigers as a tribe fan. But papa douche fuck takes it to a whole new level. So glad he has sucked since his perfect year. Hopefully it never changes.

Royals won it on a walk-off single in the 10th.

Call me cynical, but please tell me why the Tigers are considered such a favorite by everyone? If Sanchez pitches like has has the last year+, it's a hell of a 1/2 with Verlander. They have options after that, depending on match-ups how they would want to mix in Scherzer, Porcello and Fister. Could even go Scherzer in game 2 of a series.

Still, their pen isn't that good. Their offense, outside of Cabrera, Prince and Peralta (who's well above his career average in OPS) isn't that amazing either. Sure, Martinez and Hunter aren't having good years, but it's not like either are just entering their prime either. It might be reality.

I like the Tigers in the AL if I had to pick someone, but I honestly think the NL is superior this year and if they can get homefield in the WS again, the NL takes home another crown.

ClassyPoster is the only one who claims they are favorites. I like a LOT of teams more. In the AL even.

I will say though that Detroit has the best staff. JV, Scherzer, Fister and Sanchez are sick. Sanchez is a damn #4 on that team.

But I like a lot of teams more...

Bullshit....I have watched baseball for 64 years and I have never seen a better team than these tigers. I would say they are like the 95 Indians with the 95 braves pitching staff.
